It’s officially March, which means St. Patrick’s Day is on its way!
Disney started prepping for this holiday a WHILE back. We’ve already gotten updates on special Disney Springs events, spotted some merchandise in the parks, and even tried a St. Paddy’s Day treat! But as March 17th grows closer, Disney’s ramping up their game…and now we’ve got a brand-new dessert to try!
Flame Tree Barbecue at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has a St. Patrick’s Day cupcake! It’s got chocolate cake with mint ganache filling, vanilla frosting, and a white chocolate shamrock.
And boy is that shamrock HUGE. Check out all that white chocolate!
At first glance, we could tell the filling was STUFFED in there. We could see the mint ganache from the underside of the cupcake! But the flavor was amazing, and that ganache was deliciously thick.
There wasn’t a lot of chocolate cake — this treat was pretty heavy on the frosting and ganache! But the small bit of cake was SO good.

But overall, the flavors in this treat were top-notch. Chocolate mint people: this treat’s for you! You can grab it at Flame Tree Barbecue or Creature Comforts for $5.99. We’ll keep an eye out for more St. Patrick’s Day snacks, so stay tuned to DFB!
