It’s been a day filled with flowers and feasts at EPCOT! With the 2021 Flower and Garden Festival officially up and running, we’re traveling all over the park to munch on delicious plates and sip on delicious drinks!
After trying new booths like Farmers Feast and Sunshine Griddle, we were ready to revisit some of our tried-and-true Festival spots. That’s why we stopped by Refreshment Outpost to see what was on the menu!
Menu
Refreshment Outpost is nestled in between the China and Germany Pavilions in World Showcase.
This year, the menu features mostly returning items, which is a real treat if you missed out on the (very) brief 2020 Flower and Garden Festival.
Let’s waste no time and get right to trying this yummy food!
Food
The singular Flower & Garden Festival food item at Refreshment Outpost this year is the returning Pineapple Skewer with Tajin Seasoning.
If you’re feeling a bit bogged down by some of the richer and heavier food items at the festival, this will be a perfect balance!
This healthier snack option is refreshing and has the perfect amount of kick from the seasoning! It’s available for $4.75.
Drinks
Refreshment Outpost brings a new drink option to the Flower & Garden Festival this year! The Islamorada Beer Company Key Lime Hibiscus Ale quickly found a spot on our list of favorite beers from the Festival!
Seriously, EPCOT is killing it with the beers this season! You can really taste that hibiscus flavor, however, so make sure you actually like hibiscus before diving in! Still, we found this to be a very drinkable beer.
ALSO! We wanted to use this opportunity to fill you in on a little non-festival secret. Refreshment Outpost is STILL selling that elusive Frozen Brown Elephant! Just tell the Cast Member that you would like one and they’ll know what you’re talking about.
The Frozen Brown Elephant is Frozen Coca-Cola mixed with Milk and Creamy Amarula Liqueur. It’s a favorite of ours so we’re constantly checking to make sure they still have it at Refreshment Outpost!
The drink may ring up in their system differently, so don’t be alarmed when that happens! It’s available on the menu still for $15.
So, there you go — a little DFB bonus tip for you in addition to our review of Refreshment Outpost’s Festival offerings!
Overall
Refreshment Outpost is hardly ever a location that offers a large volume of Festival treats — it seems to leave that to the seasonal booths instead. What it does offer, however, is a brief pitstop along your travels across World Showcase, and it rarely disappoints.
Is Refreshment Outpost a MUST-DO on your Festival journeys? No, not necessarily. While it’s more uncommon to find our top picks for the Festivals at Refreshment Outpost, we still recommend you stop by if any of these menu items tickle your fancy! In the meantime, you have until July 5th to visit EPCOT and try all of the unique items from this year’s Flower and Garden Festival!
