And soon one of the Disneyland Resort hotels — Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa — will be reopening to guests as well!
Disney has just announced that the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa plans to reopen on April 29th, 2021, with limited capacity.
The Disney Vacation Club Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa were originally set to reopen in December 2020, but Disney ultimately had to push that date back in accordance to California’s stay-at-home order. Most recently, Disney had announced that the Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel would reopen on May 2nd, 2021. And that date is remaining the same. While the main resort will reopen on April 29th, the Villas are still set to reopen on May 2nd.
The two other Disneyland Resort hotels — Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and the Disneyland Hotel — will reopen at a later date.
During its reopening phase, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will be utilizing a theme park reservation system. If you buy valid theme park admission to Disneyland Resort’s theme parks and you are planning to stay at a Disneyland Resort hotel, just keep in mind that you WILL need to book theme park reservations in advance to enter the parks. A stay at a Disneyland Resort hotel does NOT guarantee a park reservation.
Also, hotel capacity will be limited. Guests will soon be able to book hotel stays for Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Or, you can look into booking your stay at a nearby Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotel. We’ll keep an eye out for more details and let you know what we find.
