If you haven’t been to Disney World in a while, you may have missed the BIG news that Cinderella Castle is getting a stunning MAKEOVER ahead of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary on October 1st!

That new pink and blue paint job is gorgeous, but next to it, well Fantasyland was starting to look a little less like it flowed with the Magic Kingdom’s centerpiece!
Of course, Walt Disney World needs to be in tip-top shape for such a big anniversary! And we’ve noticed that the rooftops in Fantasyland are being painted to coordinate with Cinderella Castle! See how the roofs are the same shade of rich blue as the castle?!

I am sure the green rooftops were just as striking in their day… but the bride Florida sun does tend to bleach everything out over time. The blue looks great now, but what will it look like in 5 or 10 years…. maybe maintenance has been holding out for the 50th to force a reason for some deserved refurbishing. Perhaps the green was destined to be maintenance painted a few years ago during its normal cycle, but was held off to meet up with the 50th budget… looks nice though.
