There has been some exciting news about Disney Cruise Line recently!

Disney recently revealed tons of details about the Disney Wish including the first ever attraction at sea, a Frozen-themed restaurant, a Star Wars lounge, a Marvel dining experience, a sneak peek at the rooms, and so much more.
Disney Cruise Line goes out of many ports around the world, and one of those is Port Canaveral in Florida. Although the CDC has set a timeline for cruises to return and Disney has announced vaccination requirements for future cruises, Disney Cruise Line has continued to cancel cruises. Now, we’ve got an update on the major cruise port, Port Canaveral, regarding COVID-19 vaccines.

According to WESH 2, Port Canaveral will be the first U.S. port to offer COVID-19 vaccines to port workers and vessel crew members. Up to 1,000 vaccinations per day can be given to shoreside and waterside personnel and crew members.

Port officials worked with the CDC, cruise line operators, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to plan the vaccine distribution at this location. Doses were administered starting on Friday, April 30th.

Port Canaveral CEO Capt. John Murray said “We have been working closely with our cruise partners, the Florida Department of Health, and our port community to come up with a plan and timeline of vaccinating cruise ship crews that could begin the process for a safe return to cruising.” He continued that, “This expanded eligibility is significantly important for our cruise tourism business, and we’re proud of our efforts to help get this industry up and running.”

The CDC has released statements with the hopes that cruising can start again in the summer, but Disney Cruise Line has currently cancelled sailings through June. We’ll continue to look for updates regarding cruises, and any policies that could affect an upcoming Disney Cruise.

That is great news why did they wait so long to give out the vaccine. It should of been months before It is better than never . The cruise industry is tired of waiting to sail again with passages . The ship is the worst vessel to get a virus how many passages will be on board . Disney ship is not the biggest ship to keep passages away from each other . We will have to wait to see what happens in the months .
