We’re just weeks away from the full reopening of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, set to take place in late July! With work being done on the resort’s lobby, main entrance, and Monorail station, we’re also excited to see the resort’s newly reimagined Moana-themed guest rooms!
We visited the Polynesian this afternoon where we spotted a special delivery taking place!
We watched several pieces of furniture being rolled into the resort!
Crews were bringing in dressers, TV stands, and more into the guest room buildings. The furniture was being rolled through the main pathways around the resort, so any guest would have been able to spot this happening! And it was a cool sight to see.
We got a closer look at one of the dressers — we can’t wait to unpack our suitcases in these later this summer!
It’s thrilling to see the finishing touches being brought in on this project we’ve waited over a YEAR to see completed!
Here’s what the rooms will look like once completed with all of the furniture assembled (some Cast Members were able to get a sneak peek of the rooms not too long ago!). Note that ALL of the guest rooms will have this new Moana-inspired look when they reopen!
While Disney World has not announced an official reopening date for the Polynesian, reservations are available now for stays beginning on July 19th! We’ll fill you in as we learn more about the official reopening of the non-DVC portion of the Polynesian! Be sure to stay tuned this summer as we bring you to latest updates.
