It’s been almost one year since Disney World reopened to guests and things are starting to look a whole lot more “normal.”
Park hopping has been back since the new year, we’ve seen more fan-favorite restaurants announce their reopening dates, popular spots like Casey’s Corner are back, and Disney just keeps on releasing exciting news. And, today they’re finally answering the elusive question — will the Disney Dining Plan come back to Disney World?
Today, Disney announced they will begin offering the new Early Theme Park Entry perk for Disney World Resort hotel guests on October 1st, and in the announcement, they confirmed that Disney Dining Plan Packages WILL return!
That’s right, the beloved dining plan is coming BACK, baby! Disney has yet to announce an official update on the timeline for the perks return, but fans can rest assured knowing that they will be coming back.
Disney also shared that they will be continuing to reopen more dining locations in the resorts, so there seem to be many more Disney food updates to come!
So, what else is set to reopen or come back to Disney World soon? So far, Disney has announced that ‘Ohana, Citricos (with a new Mary Poppins Returns look), Trail’s End Restaurant, Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, and Dino Diner will all be reopening soon.
Additionally, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will be reopening soon.
Fireworks will be coming back to Disney World tomorrow (July 1st) with EPCOT Forever in EPCOT and Happily Ever After in Magic Kingdom. And within the past few weeks we’ve seen arcades start to reopen, self-serve condiments become available again, and more changes made.

How about Tables in Wonderland? Think it will be back and around the same time?
Great news. As usual dfb thanks for keeping us posted. Hope it goes into affect soon.
This is exciting! I hope this means POR will reopen soon!
Excited about the Dining plan returning. I like the fact that everything is paid for in advance.
Now if Park Hopping was back to normal and not this “After 2pm” rediculousness.
And if they would just open up the EPCOT monorail that would be great.
Not to mention the fact that resort rooms are impossible to find because only a miniscule amount of resorts are opened back up.
Yes, yes, yes for the Dining Plan. Saves time and money. Thank you for your blog.
So excited for the Dinning plan returning.
I think it’s really a shame that the monorail at the Polynesian and the Epcot monorail are still not operating. We purposely booked the Polynesian with the intent of using the monorail and now we can’t use it. I hear you repeatedly say to be nice to the cast members but I have to say I feel very mistreated with the way this vacation is turning. I think you may want to give the message to Disney to be nice to their guests!!
I am so happy to hear that the dining plan is coming back You made my day thanks
Happy days 🥰
how about annual passes?
time to announce they’re coming back as well!!
Will they be bringing back ” Tables in Wonderland” dining plan too ????
Happy upcoming July 4th and Happy Canada Day from London Ontario.
I have a question if Disney World will be getting the ” Tables in Wonderland Card ” back soon.
Also have you heard any news of DVC members being able to get the Gold Memberships back?
Any info you can give would be greatly appreated.
Peace
Helen
Hi, Helen. Unfortunately no new info from Disney on this. We will update as soon as Disney releases information.
Mike, Disney hasn’t said anything new about TiW, unfortunately, but we’re on the lookout for information.
Maybe they will give me back the free dining bounceback offer they took away from me.
Ant news about Tables in Wonderland returning?
Pam, still nothing yet!
I would like to know when you are bringing back tables in wonderland ? !!!!!!!!!
Larry, unfortunately Disney hasn’t released a date for TiW to return.
I keep hearing there is an update on the dinning plan for months now but we know it’s coming the actual update would be a date when this will be returning.
This was announced in June 2021. So we are still waiting on firm date. Is there no further update!
This is “OLD,” news!
How’s about a real update on the dining plan?! It’s been months. I know Disney likes to be the King of holdouts, but this is ridiculous.
I hope the dinning plan will come back for our trip we arrive dec 5 2021 for my wedding anniversary 31 years
