Disney’s Contemporary Resort is undergoing a BIG renovation right now, with new Disney theming coming to the guest rooms, the Wave…of American Flavors turning into Steakhouse 71, and changes to the lobby as well.

Most of these projects are still ongoing, but we spotted one finished project inside this morning! Theming is all in the details, so we think the subtle update fits the Contemporary perfectly. 

The Contemporary Resort elevators have been updated with a new design!

We saw earlier this week that the elevators weren’t in service…

…and now that they’re back, we can see why the elevators were closed. They’ve been getting a refurbishment!

New design

The new design is very…well…contemporary-looking. It’s a matte silver background with shiny silver designs, including diagonal stripes on one side and a monorail design on the other!

Very fitting

Very fitting for this modern Monorail resort! More changes are coming soon to the Contemporary, like new Incredibles-themed rooms…
