Welcome back to the Lunar New Year Festival at Disney California Adventure!
We’re reviewing alllllll the goodies at this year’s fest — and now we’ve had a chance to check out the brand new Studio Catering Truck!
This booth is around from January 10th through March 1st! There is a limited menu, with two food items and two specialty drinks.
Let’s see how this booth holds up to the rest of the fest!
We tried out the Hoisin Pork Sliders, made with marinated pulled pork on Hawaiian rolls with apple slaw!
We really enjoyed the pork, and it had a bit of a kick to it. The apple slaw was refreshing and added a nice crunch to the dish.
If you’re spice-averse or don’t like pork, this one probably isn’t for you. But other than that, we think this is a great choice! You can snag this snack for $7.99.
Both drinks here are non-alcoholic, starting with the Green Tea Slush, made with almond milk, green tea, and vanilla for $6.49. We mostly just tasted green tea in this slush with a slight hint of the vanilla flavor. If you’re a big green tea fan, you’ll probably enjoy this, but if you’re not in the mood for major green tea flavor, you may want to skip it!
After that, we tried the Lemongrass-Ginger Lemonade made with lemongrass, lemon juice, ginger, and mint for $5.49. The strongest flavor here was definitely the lemonade, with just a hint of the ginger and mint.
Both of these drinks were super refreshing and either one would make a good choice on a hot day, depending on which of the flavors you prefer!
Overall, we were happy with the items from the Studio Catering Truck. If you’re looking for a snack with a kick, or a refreshing specialty drink, it’s worth a stop! We’ll continue to report back with more from the Lunar New Year Festival, so stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for all the latest updates!
