If you’re looking for unique entertainment, you’ll want to fast-walk over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
A stage show themed after our favorite fish? They’ve got that. Tumbling monkeys? YUP, they have that too. Characters flying in the sky? That’s also a thing. And, of course, Animal Kingdom also has…you guessed it — (real) animals. But next month, one animal show will be closing for a short refurbishment.
Animal Kingdom is home to Feathered Friends in Flight, which gives guests a behind-the-scenes look at the feathered friends of the park. Animal behavior specialists also provide information about these birds and teach about how the Animal Kingdom staff care for them.
From September 11th through the 24th, 2022, this show will be closed for “routine refurbishment.” During that time, you won’t be able to watch Feathered Friends in Flight — but there are still other shows to catch around the park.
While the show is closed, we recommend getting a glimpse at other animals on Kilimanjaro Safaris in Animal Kingdom. Early in the morning and later in the evening are both great times to head to the Safaris attraction, as the animals tend to be more active during these cooler times. Or watch a different show in this park — like Festival of the Lion King!
We’ll continue to keep you updated with all of the latest refurbishments around the resort, so stay tuned to DFB!
