Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is EPCOT’s newest ride and it’s especially unique for a number of reasons!
In addition to featuring an immersive queue along with multiple pre-shows, it’s also an indoor roller coaster with ride vehicles that can rotate 360 degrees. One of our favorite elements of the ride is the soundtrack, which includes six different possible songs you can get during your ride, making every ride special! And now for a limited time, the ride will sound…a bit more festive.
We learned back in June that for this holiday season, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind would be trading in the usual playlist for a “mash-up of seasonal jams,“ and that day is finally here!
Instead of the six usual songs you could get during your ride, you can now hear a medley of holiday tunes including “Run Rudolph Run,” “Deck the Halls,” and “Jingle Bells.” But, you’ll notice that the lyrics have been changed to instead be about the Guardians! We heard Rudolph replaced with Rocket, and of course Groot has to get a word (or three) in. Other than that, though — the ride is the same!

This holiday overlay will be available through the festival, and while you’re in EPCOT you might want to do some eating around the World Showcase at the Festival of the Holidays, which lasts from November 25th to December 30th.
But if you can’t make it to the parks, you can watch The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special when it premieres on Disney+!

They could resurrect Jim Morrison, Freddie Mercury, Elvis and John Lennon and have them perform live during the ride, and I’d still never go on it again. I honestly thought I was going to die. One and done, sorry not sorry.
Is it. a single song medley? We rode it twice Monday and the only thing we could really hear clearly was RunRunRocket so we were not sure if we got the same song twice. Found that the regular music was much easier to hear.
Hi Nixmom! Yes, it’s just a single song remix of Run Run Rocket with samples of a couple of other Christmas songs, but the main one you can hear is Run Run Rocket.
