Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is a fan-favorite resort, with it’s beautiful theming, great food, and amazing views.
In 2022, Disney announced that the BoardWalk Inn would see some big changes to its restaurants, rooms, lobby, and more! Some of those projects have been completed, including Carousel Coffee and the BoardWalk Deli, but others are still a work in progress. However, we just got a MAJOR room update from the BoardWalk — let’s take a sneak peek!
Disney recently announced that full housekeeping services would soon return to all Disney World hotels for the first time since the pandemic. Disney also not-so-subtly mentioned that the newly refurbished rooms at BoardWalk would be available for guests VERY soon!
Although Disney didn’t give us an exact date, we’re still thrilled at this news! Disney also revealed some details about the artwork that would be featured in the new rooms along with some photos. While these are photos meant to feature Disney’s housekeeping services, they also give us a GREAT glimpse of these rooms!
These new rooms will feature artwork that contains images of Mickey, Minnie, and other Disney pals strolling through the BoardWalk! Isn’t that adorable?!
We can’t wait to see these new rooms and their unique decor and artwork. We are constantly on the lookout for more Disney news, so make sure to follow along for more! If you’re looking for Disney World hotel options, make sure to click the link below to help you make your decision!

I’m all for the clean look of the crisp white bedding, but otherwise these photos were generically disappointing. And what is going on with the garish cartoonish mirror? That it completely out of place with the softer pastels in the other photos and looks like it belongs in a room at Art of Animation NOT a Deluxe Resort!
I hope they’re working on the DVC side next. They desperately need to be renovated. Very shabby. 🙁
As DVC member for + 20 yrs!
I welcome that my home resort is
finally getting upgraded . Long overdue!!😊
What a complete bore, look like any other moderate hotel. The theming is restricted to the so-called artwork, looks just like Saratoga without the cartoonist horse prints. Same furniture, flooring, right down to the framed silouhettes. As a Boardwalk DVC owner, this is not what I signed up for. How far Disney designers have fallen!!
It seems that Disney is “de-theming” and simplifying the Themed Hotels. The rooms seem to be more generic now. Just stayed at Saratoga and we were disappointed with the updates.
I am also wondering if the DVC side of the property will receive the room upgrades? I stayed in a deluxe studio in September 2021. While I enjoyed the resort as a whole, the rooms were woefully out-of-date and need a refresh!
They look so generic. Kind of shocked about that. Part of the pleasure of staying at such places would be the visual cues and they’re stripped all of that away. You might as well stay at a Hilton or Marriott.
I agree but nothing is as bad as how they totally ruined The Beach Club Villas! They completely took away any “ beach” theme in those rooms- the lobby still looks nice in Beach Club Villas but that is all- I expect the same is going on at The Boardwalk
Update? The rooms look cheap! Nothing is exclusive like it used to be. The floors are fake junk. Grey plastic? I cannot believe that Disney will buy into the “luxury vinyl tile” brainwash that has taken budget America. If I am staying deluxe, it is because I want it to be deluxe. I personally have never seen grey wood trees—and I am not interested in anything “barn” or “farm”….maybe make that for a budget old Mac Donald Hotel. Pathetic.
The rooms look bright and cheery. I think the floors look nice too. So much better than out dated grandma wallpaper and curtains!
Part of paying the extra cost for staying at Disney properties is the immersive nature of the resorts. I never stayed at the Boardwalk Inn, but according to the website, you’re supposed to “experience the charm and whimsy of turn-of-the-century Atlantic City.” That century turn was from the 1890’s to the early 1900’s, not the 1990’s to the 2000’s. Although it is clean, there is no immersive quality to this deluxe hotel.
