Popular Disney Ride Reopens After Year-Long Closure

Today is the big day! Disneyland’s Toontown is finally reopening after the land was reimagined.

We previously got to ride the NEW attraction in Toontown, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway earlier this year when it reopened ahead of the land. Recently, though, we finally got a first look at the NEW Toontown and even got to eat at its new dining spots. Today, though, a closed ride there has also reopened!

Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin was closed during the refurbishment of Toontown (which started in March 2022), but now, it has reopened with the park. We checked the Disneyland app and saw that it was open — with a 45-minute standby wait time.

However, if you DO want to ride Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin with less of a wait, the ride is also available through Disneyland’s Genie+. That option DOES cost, but it lets you bypass the standby lines at many rides and gives you access to those rides’ Lightning Lanes.

The ride got an updated storyline a few years ago that introduced Jessica Rabbit as a detective. You should now be able to see that new animatronic during the ride now that it’s open again.

In the meantime, be sure to also check out all the new additions to Toontown, including The Dreaming Tree, Cafe Daisy, and Good Boy! Grocers. You’re also going to see some of your favorite characters roaming around, including Pete, who’s making his theme park debut in the new land!
