Having photos and videos from your Disney vacation is so special to capture those memories!
Some guests use their phones or cameras to capture those memories while many guests utilize Disney PhotoPass, which means that PhotoPass photographers around the parks will capture photos for guests. These photos appear on the My Disney Experience app. Now, there is a new feature on My Disney Experience for guests to use!
The new feature on the My Disney Experience app is called Video Memories. According to Disney, guests can now create videos using PhotoPass photos and more to revisit their magical vacation at home. In order to create yours, open the My Disney Experience app on your phone (to the home page) and scroll down until you see Video Memories.
If you select “learn more,” it will take you to a tutorial that will walk you step by step through the process. First, you select a Disney Template to create a theme for your video memory.
Second, you can choose either Quick Video Memory or Advanced. With Quick Video Memory, you will select your photos and videos and Disney will combine them for you!
If you choose Advanced, you can select and edit the photos and videos yourself by adding music, text, and more!
Finally, you can preview and download the video memory to share.
There are currently 4 templates to choose from: The Best Disney Day, A Fairy Tale Come True, 50th Anniversary Celebration, and Fun Across 4 Theme Parks.
Here’s a look at the page where you will choose either Quick or Advanced. Quick can save you time, but if there’s a certain look or style you want, you might want to choose advanced to be able to have more control over your final product!
If you choose advanced, there are stickers to choose from to decorate it!
And there’s even music you can choose from. There are 3 song options here.
We love that this could be completely customizable by you or you can have Disney do the work for you! According to Disney, “Guests with the My Disney Experience app who have Memory Maker or are Annual Passholders are eligible to download and share their video memories.”
This is a great feature to use to create your own memory to save for yourself or share with others! There is no limit to how many of these you can make, so get creative and try different styles. The videos are free to create, but you must have purchased Memory Maker or be an Annual Passholder in order to download them. Be sure to follow Disney Food Blog for more Disney news.
