If you’re a fan of Disney Cruise Line vacations, you’ve got a lot to look forward to in the coming years!
Four ships are already in the works, and then at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney announced that four MORE are coming in the future — that means Disney will have a fleet of 13 ships! Right now, one of the new ships that we’re looking forward to is the Disney Adventure, which will set sail in 2025 and be based in Singapore. And today, Disney just dropped more information about the boat’s offerings!
The first big announcement about the Disney Adventure is that Deadpool will be making his Disney Cruise Line debut! He will be among the cast of Marvel Super Heroes and Villains who take the stage in “Avengers Assemble!” This show will feature “jaw-dropping stunts” as you watch a battle unfold between good and evil.
You’ll be able to catch Avengers Assemble! onboard on the Garden Stage, which will be complete with “three-deck-high LED screens, special effects, and innovative theatrical tools.” This particular show will feature Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, Black Panther, The Scarlet Witch, Ms. Marvel, Loki, Red Skull, Taskmaster, and more.
The Garden Stage will be located in the brand-new Disney Imagination Garden, which will be the central hub of the Disney Adventure. The garden will “transport guests into the pages of beloved Disney stories alongside their favorite characters.” The Disney Imagination Garden is one of seven uniquely themed areas coming to the Disney Adventure.
Inside the Disney Imagination Garden, you’ll also find two quick service eateries, a bar, and an assortment of garden-view staterooms. The whole space will be decorated with plants, topiaries, vines, and of course, plenty of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel easter eggs. One end of the Imagination Garden will feature a courtyard space, while the other will be home to the Garden Stage.
In the center, there will be a grand staircase that can be used for amphitheater-style seating when watching shows on the Garden Stage. In front of the staircase is a large open “lawn” area.
At the top of the staircase, you’ll find the courtyard. This space is “surrounded by lofty trees designed to look like storybook cut-outs featuring a few familiar animal pals.” In the middle of the courtyard stands a Sorcerer Mickey topiary.
However, the true centerpiece of the courtyard is the three-deck-high castle artwork on the back wall. It’s inspired by castles from Disney parks and Disney stories and will have influences from sketches done by legendary Disney artists such as Herbert Ryman, Frank Armitage, and Eyvind Earle. It’s officially Disney Cruise Line’s first castle at sea!
And of course, we’ve got to talk about the food in the Disney Imagination Garden! Two quick service spots inspired by The Jungle Book and Moana will have both indoor seating, as well as patio seating, for those who hope to dine with a view of the garden:
- Mowgli’s Eatery – Serving Indian cuisine, including vegetarian and regional dishes with a special Disney twist, this casual eatery will be inspired by Mowgli’s epic journey in The Jungle Book.
- Gramma Tala’s Kitchen – This inviting quick service restaurant will be inspired by the vibrant scenery and island flair of Moana with an imaginative menu showcasing the diverse flavors found throughout the Pacific and Asia.
We can’t wait to learn more about this boat before it sets sail next year! Stay tuned to DFB for all the latest news and updates.
