No tricks, just treats!
Halloween season has arrived at Disney World, and you know what means! Decorations, merchandise, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and — of course — TREATS! We recently sampled some of the 2024 seasonal treats available at Disney Springs!
First up, we paid a visit to Amorette’s Patisserie to sample their Halloween snacks. The Madame Leota Petite Cake was excellent. The crushed caramel-coated pretzels in the center gave a nice crunch, while the layers of chocolate caramel gave a sweet texture to it.
The jello had a bit of a fruity taste to it. Just be warned, it melted quickly in the sun.
We grabbed Amorette’s Wilting Rose next. We found this offering to be very solid. The outer coating was a bit tough to get through with a fork, but it was worth it for the way it held the whole thing together.
Inside there was a hint of raspberry jam to the dessert. Our only issue? The small green “leaf” melted quickly.
Next, we took a stroll over to Marketplace Snacks to sample their Mickey Pumpkin Waffle Sundae.
We found this sundae more aesthetically pleasing than anything else. Don’t get us wrong, the combo of the vanilla soft serve and M&M’s is delicious but quite similar to other desserts. The crisp chocolate Pocky sticks and warm drizzle were nice additions though. Overall, it all felt like something we’d seen before. Also, words of warning: The print on the Mickey pumpkin chocolate image smudges and leaves dark ink behind on your fingers.
We tried three more of Disney World’s Halloween treat offerings and liked all three of them… though if we had to choose one, it would definitely be the Madame Leota cake. Stay tuned to DFB for further Disney World reviews!
