The Disney Villains are taking over Disney World!
The villains have already taken over the Disney Vacation Club Member Lounge at the top of Bay Lake Tower, but now they are claiming more property. As we patiently wait for more details about Magic Kingdom’s Villains Land, which will lie “Beyond Big Thunder Mountain,” a new villains attraction will be opening this summer at Hollywood Studios. Disney just released a new look at this upcoming stage show!
There is no shortage of live entertainment at Hollywood Studios, and soon, a villainous show will be joining the line-up.
Last October, Lighting McQueen’s Racing Academy closed to make way for Disney Villians: Unfairly Ever After. The original concept art for the show gave us a sneak peek at some of the villains who would be part of this new stage show this summer.

Disney shared new details about the show and said that the Magic Mirror summons some of your favorite Disney Villains who will break through the glass and explain why we’ve misunderstood them. After the villains share their side of the story, “In the end, it will be on you to make the final call in a delightfully wicked finale filled with dozens of the most infamous evildoers awaiting your decision from within the Mirror’s realm.”
The brand new concept art shows that 57, yes 57, Disney Villains will be part of this new show! While you will get to see some classic Disney Villains up on stage, like Captain Hook, Cruella de Vil, and Maleficent, there will be other villains that do not get much recognition in the parks.
Let’s take a closer look at the concept art! Starting from the left side of the stage, we spotted Pain and Panic, the Sheriff of Nottingham, the hyenas, Edgar Balthazar, Yokai, Captain Gantu, Prince John, Hopper, King Candy, Madame Medusa, Frollo, Mother Gothel, Gaston, Hades, Dr. Facilier, Clayton, and Governor Ratcliffe. It also seems that Hades will make a live appearance from a balcony on the stage.
But that is not all! In the middle of the stage, we spotted Lucifer, Creeper, Flotsam and Jetsam, Kaa, Ursula, Duke of Weselton, John Silver, Smee, Iago, Chernabog, Dr. Hämsterviel, Helga Sinclair, Shere Khan, Commander Lyle Tiberius Rourke, and Honest John. Captain Hook, Cruella de Vil, and Maleficent are live on stage as well.
If you thought Disney was done, you’d be wrong because the right side of the stage features Scar, Wicked Stepmother, Red Queen, Yzma, Kakamora, Prince Hans, Cydne, King Magnifico, Bowler Hat Guy, Jaspar and Horace, Percival C. McLeach, Madame Mim, Professor Ratigan, Dawn Bellwether, and the Horned King. And just like on the left side of the stage, it seems that Jafar will make a live appearance on a balcony.
Wow! That is a lot of villains! As of right now, it seems that only the villains that we see in the parks will be making live appearances, but it is cool that Disney will be bringing 57 villains together to tell their sides of their stories.
Although we do not know the exact opening date, the show is set to open this summer and it seems that the show is well on its way as casting calls have already been put out and construction permits have been filed.
We are so excited to hear the villains share their side of the story in Hollywood Studios later this year! We will continue to keep an eye out on the progress of Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, as well as all the other new projects coming to Disney World this year, so make sure to continue to follow along with DFB!
