We’re all accustomed to the limited food offerings of most Walt Disney World pool bars, but lately we’ve spotted several pool bar menus that have expanded. While we always welcome bigger (and hopefully better!) menus at these convenient spots, we’re not sure how long these riches will stick around.
Typically massive crowds descend on the World this time of year for Spring Break, and these menu changes could be a response to larger-than-average groups of pool-goers. [Read more…]
Greetings from Hurricane Hanna’s along Stormalong Bay! Earlier this week we let you know that Yacht & Beach Clubs’ Hurricane Hanna’s has some new menu items, including a new burger we couldn’t wait to try…so we did!
Today we were excited to dig into the Shipwreck Angus Bacon Cheeseburger.
This brand new burger is made of short ground rib and brisket, and topped with fried shrimp, bacon, cheddar cheese, and a Cajun remoulade sauce! It’s served with your choice of Waffle Fries or Apple Slaw.
The Disney World Yacht and Beach Club Resorts’ shared pool, Stormalong Bay, is seeing some changes in both the menu at Hurricane Hanna’s and lots of construction on new Cabanas being added to the area.
The familiar shape of a cabanas can been seen popping up all around the pool.
The Yacht and Beach Club Resorts have so much to offer for the Disney Food Fan from ice cream sundaes and casual eats to a steakhouse! We’ve got all the menu updates for these two resorts here!
Stormalong Bay stalwart Hurricane Hanna’s has had a recent menu update and we couldn’t wait to share it with you!

We’ve heard from many fans of Beaches & Cream Soda Shop ever since we posted about the popular spot’s planned three-month long refurbishment. Most of you (and us) wanted to know “when will it close?” and we think we’re getting closer to an official date.
Beaches & Cream is the super popular, super hard to get a reservation for, home to fun sundaes and treats including the Kitchen Sink, the No Way Jose, and now those Over-the-Top Milkshakes (which, as of yesterday, were no longer being served…we think because they ran out of the plastic serving cups…so they’ll likely be back soon). Disney World has started testing Smart Speakers in select guest rooms at the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. Currently, guests with a Smart Speaker in their guest room will be able to get information including park hours, bus arrival times, the weather, and more from the speakers.
The Smart Speakers are voice activated, and not linked to any personal accounts, including My Disney Experience accounts. No registration or set up is required if you are in a room with a Smart Speaker.
