Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend

The runDisney 2017 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon lineup, part of the 2017 Epcot Food and Wine Festival, has been announced! And there are lots of exciting changes to celebrate this year!

Registration for the 2017 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend is open! Events tend to sell out very quickly. So if running in these races is something you’re dreaming of doing, be ready to go as soon as the registration window opens!

The Wine and Dine Half Marathon as well as the Mickey’s Holiday 5K and runDisney Kids Races return, but there are several changes this year. Read on to see details about each event.

Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon — SOLD OUT!

When: Sunday, November 5, 2017
Time: 5:30AM
Start: ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
Finish: Epcot

Once again, this popular race is being held in the MORNING! That’s right — if you’ve reveled in the opportunity to run a nighttime half marathon, get ready to set your alarm — race start in 2017 will now be 5:30AM.

Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon features:

  • 13.1 mile Half marathon course through Walt Disney World Theme Parks
  • Disney Characters and Entertainment on the course
  • Family Reunion Area with entertainment and characters
  • Exclusive After Hours party at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival

Disney Two Course Challenge

With deepest pride and the greatest pleasure, we welcome you to participate in the Disney Two Course Challenge. This delectable event combines the Wine & Dine 10K on Saturday with the Wine & Dine Half Marathon on Sunday—a total of 19.3 miles through the beautiful Walt Disney World® Resort cheered on by some of your favorite Disney characters, plus plenty of Disney entertainment.

Complete both races within the pacing requirements and you’ll earn the coveted Disney Two Course Challenge medal in addition to your Wine & Dine Half Marathon and Wine & Dine 10K medals. Registration for Disney Two Course Challenge is required to receive the Disney Two Course Challenge medal.

Location: Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Join a family run on the “wild side” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park!

Don your most festive running gear and get set for a family adventure that’s fun for all ages and skill levels. Throughout this trek you’ll run past amazing sites, scenery and Disney entertainment. Beginners, intermediates and even experienced runners are all invited to join the fun of this adventure.

Mickey’s Fall Feast 5K Highlights:

runDisney Kids Races

When: Saturday, November 4, 2017
Location: ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex

Children 13 and under are invited to participate in the runDisney Kids Races taking place at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex during the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend. Each runner who participates will go home with their very own finisher medallion! Encourage your youngster to join the fun and sign up for any of the Kids Dashes or the One Mile Run. There’s even a Diaper Dash for crawlers! Space is limited.

Parents are allowed to run with their children. The event will follow a rolling start beginning with the Kids Dashes followed by the Diaper Dash at the New Balance Track & Field Complex. The One Mile Run will have a separate start location and time. All distances will utilize the same finish location.

runDisney Kids Dashes Age Groups:
12 months and under – Diaper Dash for crawlers
1-3 years old – 100m dash
4-6 years old – 200m dash
7-8 years old – 400m dash
One Mile Run – Open to all children 13 years old & under

runDisney Kids Dashes participants will receive:

After-hours Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival

Runners participating in the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon receive entry into the Finish Line Party which takes place after-hours at the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival!

Spectators can purchase Finish Line Party Tickets to celebrate with their runner.

Disney Wine & Dine After Hours Post Race Party Ticket Includes:

  • Early entry into Epcot at 8:00PM
  • Opportunity to join fellow runners in purchasing indulgent offerings fit for a celebration at more than 30 Global Marketplaces at the 2017 Epcot Food & Wine Festival

runDisney Health & Fitness Expo

The Expo is a two-day event filled with fun, fitness, and food! This is where runners will register for the weekend events, pick up numbers and goody bags, and attend any seminars or events having to do with the races.

If time allows, spend an extra afternoon or evening at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is a special event for food and wine lovers. Guests enjoy specialty food items, culinary events, wine seminars, and live musical entertainment. Over 30 marketplace kiosks serve tapas-sized portions of international specialties along with regional beverages!

* Participants must attend Packet Pick-up at runDisney Health & Fitness Expo to receive their race packet, bib, and tech shirt. Finisher medals will be distributed to finishers during the race. None of these items will be mailed to registrants.

** The Disney Gift Card can be used at select participating locations at Walt Disney World® Resort, Disneyland® Resort, Disney Cruise Line®, Disney Store locations in the U.S., DisneyStore.com, DisneyPhotoPass.com and Adventures by Disney. Visit DisneyGiftCard.com for complete terms and conditions. Disney Gift Cards will be mailed to registered participants three weeks prior to the event weekend. Any registered participant that does not receive their Disney Gift Card must visit the ESPN Wide World of Sports Welcome Center during the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo on November 2-4, 2017 to deactivate the mailed Disney Gift Card and receive a new Disney Gift Card. The registered participant will have to show a valid form of government issued identification to claim their Disney Gift Card. If the registered participant, who did not receive their Disney Gift Card through the mail, does not claim their Disney Gift Card in person at the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Health & Fitness Expo during the Pack Pick-up Times, he/she will forfeit the Disney Gift Card. Disney is not responsible for the inability of eligible participants to claim, accept, or use the Disney Gift Card.

***You must register for Lumiere’s Two Course Challenge to receive the Lumiere’s Two Course Challenge medal upon completion of both races within the pacing requirements.

Disney reserves the right to refuse the entry into, and/or revoke any registration for, any race for any reason in its sole discretion with refund of any applicable registration fees being the sole remedy of any such refusal and/or revocation.

How to Book Epcot Food & Wine Festival Events

To book all special events and demonstrations, call 407-WDW-FEST (939-3378) starting July 20 at 7:00AM ET. Culinary Demonstrations and Beverage Seminars and general admission for some special events may be bookable online at www.epcotfoodfestival.com as well as by phone.

Tables in Wonderland members, Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, and Golden Oak Residents are eligible for a $2 discount (per person, per event) for beverage and seminars and culinary demos taking place Mon-Thurs during the festival. Members of these groups can also book all Special Events early on July 18th beginning at 9:00AM ET. Discounts are by phone only at 407-WDW-FEST (939-3378).
