First Look: The New BoardWalk Bakery in Walt Disney World!

I’ll be publishing my FULL review of the brand new BoardWalk Bakery in Walt Disney World very soon, but I wanted to give you a little sneak peek of what’s coming!

Brioche and the NEW BoardWalk Bakery

I popped into the bakery around 7am Friday morning — opening day — to check out the digs…

New Mosaic!

The space has been greatly expanded, and now offers two entrances!

The NEW Boardwalk Bakery -- three times the size of the old one!

There’s one for guests waiting in line for food and pastries, and one for guests who just need to refill their refillable mugs!

Once inside, the queue line is quite long. It takes up half of the bakery space!

The stuff-your-face options have expanded greatly at the bakery. They now feature a strong set of hot breakfast and lunch items, soups, pastries, desserts, and more.

We’ll share lots of pictures, details, and info in our full review coming soon, but I HAD to share some pics of some of the goodies today…

A few items in the Bakery Case...

THESE were heavenly! I have lots more pictures to show you of the caramel-y gorgeousness in the full review…

Nooooo! You can’t just leave it there, we need more details. Can’t wait for the full review.

  2. Clayre says

Wow that sticky bun looks good. Can’t wait to hear more! I notice there are no DDP symbols on any of the items. Do you know if any were allowed as snack credits?

  3. Kris says

Cannot wait to try out breakfast and lunch offerings while my gf an I are staying at the Boardwalk Inn in October. The food looks delicious!

  4. Tiffany S. says

We’re staying at the Boardwalk, and I was very tempted to get down there for the ribbon cutting but 6:30 am was a little early for vacation. By 8:30, there was about a ten minute wait (the line moves fast), and we ordered the egg & biscuit sandwiches. SO delicious! The best biscuit I’ve ever eaten. Probably good this wasn’t open all week :), but what a great addition.

Oh I will definitely be stopping in on my trip next week! Thanks for the peeks. I can’t wait to read the full review (hopefully before Wednesday ;) )

  6. Sara says

Thank you for sharing! We stay at The Boardwalk Villas several times a year and are so excited to finally have an expanded bakery. We’ll be staying there again this week and cannot wait to check it out!

  7. Barb H says

OMG that sticky bun reminds of a former bakery (Jenny Lee’s) in Pittsburgh, PA that sold the same exact bun but they called it a Pecan Roll. YUM! I’ll have to make it a priority to get to the Boardwalk on my next visit in October.

  8. Luis Rodriguez says

Talk about long over due. The Boardwalk is now complete!! I couldn’t be happier!!

  9. says

Oh yeah that sticky bun looks good, give me that and a cup of coffee and I am set for the morning. Have to check it out even though the queue line is a little imtimadating.
