PHOTOS: This MAJOR Universal Construction Project Is Far From Over

One of the longest closures of the year across all the Orlando theme parks is none other than Jurassic Park River Adventure, located at Islands of Adventure in Universal Orlando.

This week was certainly a big one for Disneyland Resort, with tons of announcements around Oogie Boogie Bash, which kinda stuck Disney World in the backseat. Though after weeks in a row of TONS of news and changes, we think it deserves a little break.

When we say it’s been an eventful week in Disney World, we mean that we got close to lying down on a bench in the park and sleeping for approximately 14 hours, but we couldn’t, because in EVERY park, there was something new.

Getting to be there for the opening day of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, Bluey’s Wild World, as well as the official openings of Jessie’s Roundup, Soarin’ Across America, The Walt Disney Studios, and more? Yep, it was an unforgettable week. Now that things have slowed down a bit, though, if you’re visiting the parks this week, you need to know that there are, unfortunately, still many attractions around the parks that are closed and unavailable to experience.

One of Disney’s Oldest Rides Is Temporarily CLOSING in a Few Weeks

One of Disneyland’s oldest attractions, which it predates the park itself, is seemingly set to close for refurbishment in a few weeks.

According to Disneyland’s operational calendar, King Arthur Carrousel — which sits at the center of the park’s Fantasyland just behind Sleeping Beauty Castle — is set to close beginning July 6th, with a final day of operations scheduled for July 5th, the cap of the busy Fourth of July Weekend.
