A brand new holiday event has made its debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Disney Jollywood Nights! Disney Jollywood Nights is a separately ticketed event that is took place on ten select nights from November 11th through December 20th, 2023.
Stay tuned for 2024 dates and information! Below you’ll find our coverage from the 2023 event for your future planning reference as we await 2024 information!
As part of the event, guests can view the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! nighttime fireworks and projections spectacular, enjoy exclusive treats, meet rare characters, and more!
Throughout the park, guests are able to experience unique music and entertainment inspired by different genres. On Commissary Lane, for example, guests can explore the lively Holiday Fiesta En La Calle, while Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy host a live holiday special at Theater of the Stars with some other Disney special guests (like Princess Tiana and Belle). And Jack Skellington himself hosts a special sing-along themed to Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas at Hyperion Theater in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and a DJ spins holiday tunes on Hollywood Boulevard.
Additionally, look out for two limited-capacity entertainment experiences happening during the event: The Hollywood Brown Derby transforms into Jazzy Holidays — a speakeasy-inspired jazz lounge (think singalong piano bar!); and The Hollywood Tower Hotel Courtyard hosts the Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club, an “other-worldly soiree” with a ghostly band (the idea here is that Disney has recreated the Tip Top Club from the Tower of Terror lore)!
Look out for special holiday-themed Magic Shots and two new Disney PhotoPass experiences. Your ticket comes with complimentary digital downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos from the event. And guests are encouraged to dress the part, as Disney shares that “Disney Jollywood Nights is brimming with red-carpet moments, Hollywood vibes, glimmering décor and fantastic photo ops—so you’re encouraged to don your holiday best!”
Guests also have access to select rides during the event:
- Slinky Dog Dash
- Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad
- Alien Swirling Saucers
- Toy Story Mania
- Muppet Vision 3D
- Star Tours
- Rock N’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
- Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (Star Wars: Rise of Resistance uses a virtual queue during Disney Jollywood Nights.)
And, of course, specialty food and drink items are available for extra purchase. Check out ALL of our Jollywood Nights reviews here or continue reading this page to see more!

Exclusive Shows at Jollywood Nights
Holidays in Hollywood
Holidays in Hollywood at Theater of the Stars down Sunset Boulevard offers several showtimes at 8:45PM, 9:45PM, 10:45 PM, and 11:45 PM. This musical variety show features singing, dancing, and the sensational antics of two of your favorite Muppets: Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy!
The whole premise of this new show is that you’re the live audience of the filming of a Holiday Special show. Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy are joined by Disney characters include Belle and Mickey and Minnie, and the show is accompanied by a live band!
This show lasts about 30 minutes, and you can see why we LOVED IT here!
What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along
What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along is performed at 8:30, 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30PM at the Hyperion Theater (this is where For the First Time in Forever, A Frozen Sing-Along performs during the regular park day).
You’ll join Jack Skellington for a “dreamlike adventure inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” during this event. Guests are invited to sing along with the Pumpkin King to beloved songs from Nightmare Before Christmas while following two friends on a larger-than-life journey!
During the show, you’ll sing along to:
- What’s This
- Kidnap the Sandy Claws

- This is Halloween
- Jack and Sally’s Song
Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!

The show lasts about 14 minutes from start to finish.
Limited Capacity Entertainment
Jazzy Holidays
Jazzy Holidays is an exclusive “party within a party” that takes place during Jollywood Nights! This party features holiday music, craft cocktails, snacks, and old Hollywood vibes. But this exclusive jazz joint at The Hollywood Brown Derby is just that: EXCLUSIVE. To gain access to Jazzy Holidays, you must join the mobile walk-up waitlist.
First, open up the My Disney Experience app and check availability for Jazzy Holidays (no need to visit the host stand). You can also scan a QR code located in the restaurant’s lobby to take you to this page on the app. If there is availability, use the app to join the walk-up waitlist. You’ll need to confirm your group’s details, including how many people there will be and whether anyone has special dietary requests. When it’s your turn to go inside, you’ll be notified via the app that you should head to a specific location! Jazzy Holidays is a limited-capacity event, so you’ll want to join the waitlist sooner rather than later to make sure you get a spot before it fills up!
Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club
The Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club is located in the courtyard of The Hollywood Tower Hotel (or Tower of Terror, as most people know it). At this event, you can sip on cocktails and listen to the live band known as Rachel and the Alley Cats.
If this event is a priority for you, make sure you head there early in the evening. Capacity is limited (though a waitlist is not required, as it is with Jazzy Holidays), so it might fill up later on.
Characters at Jollywood Nights
Guests can also meet Disney characters during the event:
- Animation Courtyard is lined with characters including Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Pluto
- Powerline Max, Chip ‘n’ Dale, and Phineas and Ferb can be found at Echo Lake
- Over at Pixar Place, you’ll be able to meet Edna Mode with a 1950s theme and catch Frozone’s Snow Zone!
- And, though this is NOT a meet-and-greet, keep your eye out for the mascot, of sorts, of Jollywood Nights: OLLIE, a brand new character for the event!
