food IS a theme park
Disney World, specifically the hotels, will be seeing a LOT of change in November, especially with the seasons changing!
BoardWalk Outdoor Christmas Tree
Whether it’s added decor, refurbishments, or special events, November is bound to be a month of change at the Disney World resorts. We never want you to be surprised during your vacation, so we’ve compiled a full list of changes! Let’s take a look!
Fall break is alive and well in Disney World, which is a time of year many people forget about, then wonder why in the world there’s a random 3-4 weeks in between the end of summer and Thanksgiving week that are absolutely bonkers. Yep, that’s why.
Crowds in Magic Kingdom
It’s also hard to track when exactly fall breaks will cause high crowds, since they land in different weeks for various schools. This does mean the crowds are a bit more spread out, rather than arriving all at once, but it still means Disney World becomes more intense than many people expect it to be for early October. But other than being shoulder to shoulder with thousands of your closest strangers, what else can you expect from Disney World this week? The answer? A LOT.
Well, Disney just made it through, arguably, their hardest week of the year. AKA, the week where they jack up the prices on practically everything in Disney World, we all complain about it, and then the vast majority of us decide the magic is worth it and keep paying said prices as our wallets sob in despair.
Hollywood Studios
This year, though, Disney really doubled down on distracting all of us from the price increases by dropping TONS of news and updates. Did it work? Well, our team was certainly busy keeping up with it all, but we’ll let you make the final call on how successfully they distracted you.
This past week was a RARE one at Disney World in the absolute best way!
Hurly-Burly
For what feels like the past few months, we’ve seen closure after closure in Disney World. Even if they were just temporary closures, like how The Diamond Horseshoe closed after becoming Jessie’s Roundup for Cool KIDS’ SUMMER to become a new pop-up restaurant opening on October 4th, others were long-term closures, such as the Carousel of Progress retheme. That’s why this past week was so special, and we’re on track for a great upcoming week — we’re looking at tons of OPENINGS happening around the parks, instead of closures!
Miraculously, we’re not coming here to report to you that there are dozens of new closures in Disney World! We know, we know, it’s hard to believe, but it’s true.
EPCOT
In fact, we’ve even got some exciting updates from the parks about openings coming soon! Yep, instead of closures, we’ve got new openings, as well as some incredible updates on some of the construction updates happening around the parks. If you’re visiting this week, we’ve got you covered with all the updates you need to know.
This may be some of the best Disney news you’ve heard all week — this was a week of NO new temporary closures in Disney World! We know it sounds impossible, but it’s true.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
However, next week? Well, we never know what new things the parks may throw at us, but we can tell you about the closures already happening to make sure you’re well prepared!
Disney decided this was THE WEEK to drop all the news! We got news about next year’s EPCOT Festivals, discounts coming for 2027, new After Hours event dates, and so much more. In fact, that doesn’t even cover what actually happened IN the parks this past week.
2026 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival
If things feel a bit overwhelming, or like it’s all moving a little too fast, we’re here to help break it all down. If you’re visiting the parks this upcoming week, these are the closures you need to know about before tapping into the parks!
Well, things WERE slowing down in Disney World for a second there, but it seems Disney has decided to kick things up a notch again!
New eats at the Turf Club Lounge
It was a pretty even split between new closures announced this past week, as well as finally seeing certain spots open again, or taking large steps towards reopening. Are we devastated that we found out one of our favorite Disney Springs restaurants will soon be closing? Yes, but we’re also relieved that a popular mode of transportation also finally reopened at a Disney World hotel this past week, so again, it’s all about balance.
After D23, news isn’t slowing down around Disney World, even though it would make our lives 10 times easier. It’s our job to keep you up to date, so that’s exactly what we’ll do!
Magic Kingdom
Currently, 18 lands, rides, restaurants, shops, and hotels are under construction at Disney World. But what’s closed this week? Let’s take a peek!
The construction and closure news isn’t slowing down around Disney World, despite how much we’d love for it to. It’s our job to keep you up-to-date, so that’s exactly what we’ll do!
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
One Disney World hotel is having some pretty serious issues with a water outage, though the hotel itself hasn’t closed because of it, and another Disney World hotel just began a pretty big construction project this past week. Though, we are happy to see that one construction project inside the parks has taken a big step forward!
