The BoardWalk Just Got Even MORE Crowded in Disney World

Disney’s BoardWalk has a problem—it’s becoming WAY too easy to spend an entire evening there. We’re talking dinner, drinks, dessert, entertainment, shopping, people-watching, perhaps an ill-advised Surrey bike ride. Why? Well, there is one main reason, and its initials are HB.

If You Visited Disney World Last Week, Things Already Look VERY Different

This past week was a RARE one at Disney World in the absolute best way!

For what feels like the past few months, we’ve seen closure after closure in Disney World. Even if they were just temporary closures, like how The Diamond Horseshoe closed after becoming Jessie’s Roundup for Cool KIDS’ SUMMER to become a new pop-up restaurant opening on October 4th, others were long-term closures, such as the Carousel of Progress retheme. That’s why this past week was so special, and we’re on track for a great upcoming week — we’re looking at tons of OPENINGS happening around the parks, instead of closures!

One of Disney World’s new spots is FINALLY open, and we’re checking out every part it has to offer today, including this SUPER unique addition!

The Hurly-Burly!

Hurly-Burly is located on Disney’s BoardWalk, where Jellyrolls used to be. This new spot officially opened October 1st, and here, Disney is inviting guests to “step inside this historic seaside theater, once the home of the BoardWalk’s most celebrated vaudeville performers.” In the story Disney has crafted, it’s opening its doors for the first time in about 100 years. Come with us to check out their walk-up window for the first time!

Please Tell Me I’m Not the Only One Who’s Super Confused by This New Disney World Restaurant

Okay, BoardWalk fans, we need to talk. After almost 30 years, the Jellyrolls piano bar closed in the spring of 2025, and ever since, the BoardWalk has had a Jellyrolls-shaped hole in its heart (and its nightlife). Well, that hole has finally been filled (sort of)! Hurly-Burly is officially open in the former Jellyrolls space, and while we’re thrilled, we have to say we’re a little confused.

So what IS Hurly-Burly? Picture a historic seaside theater that was once home to the BoardWalk’s most celebrated vaudeville performers, complete with a glowing marquee and a teal exterior that’s impossible to miss on the promenade. But we just have one question for our buddy, CEO Josh D’Amaro: who is Hurly-Burly actually for?!
