If there’s one thing we’ve learned over decades of visiting the parks, it’s that things are constantly changing around Disney World! Sometimes we can get hints about upcoming changes based on permits that are filed for construction work around the resort. And we recently spotted a construction permit with an interesting code name that we can’t stop thinking about!

There are literally HUNDREDS of restaurants to choose from around Disney World. Whether you’re looking for a chance to dine with some of your favorite characters or enjoy a high-end meal, there’s an option for just about any taste! But, of course, there isn’t nearly enough time to check them all out in one vacation, so not every spot can make the cut on the itinerary. These are the five Disney World restaurants fans aren’t booking in 2027!

But don’t forget, it’s not just during the trip itself that the increased traffic can impact you — upcoming holidays can also make it more difficult to book reservations while you’re still in the planning stages of your vacation!

BoardWalk
There are plenty of great places to eat at the BoardWalk, from ultra-opulent table service spots like The Cake Bake Shop and Flying Fish to grab-and-go eats at places like BoardWalk Deli and Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs. But even with so many amazing choices, we’ve noticed tons of guests looking for a cool treat this summer, only to find that they can’t get one at the BoardWalk yet!
A new Disney hotel perk celebrating the release of Toy Story 5 is about to begin!
Disneyland Hotel
There are plenty of ways to get your Toy Story fix around the Disney parks and resorts, from permanent attractions like Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios to limited-edition souvenirs and snacks themed after our favorite characters. And tomorrow, a NEW Disney hotel perk is officially launching to celebrate the recent release of Toy Story 5!

From the classic EPCOT Festivals to the Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic, you all know that we LOVE a Disney food festival! Which is exactly why we’re so concerned about the radio silence on one of Disney’s newer food events, which had already kicked off by July 1st in previous years…

Dollywood!
With a name like “Disney Food Blog,” it’s no secret that we love tasting our way around the theme parks. And we’re just as dedicated to snacking even when we head outside of the Disney parks! We recently took a trip to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and tried a TON of food, including Dollywood’s most iconic treat. Now, who’s ready for a closer look at a Dollywood snack that puts a twist (literally) on the classic theme park hot dog??

Since its introduction in 2024, Disney World’s Lightning Lane service has allowed guests to bypass standby lines for select attractions through an extra purchase made on the My Disney Experience app. Over the years, there have been some popular tips and strategies for how to get the most out of your Lightning Lane experience. But if you’ve heard either of these two Lightning Lane tips, beware that they DO NOT work anymore!

The Disney Fantasy
We recently sailed on the Disney Fantasy, which officially joined the Disney Cruise Line fleet back in 2012. Our days were PACKED with tons of amazing experiences, like live performances, games, and, of course, a ride on the AquaDuck. Plus, our sailing included a Pixar Day at Sea, which meant even more Pixar-themed fun, like characters, music, and specialty food!
