Earlier today, we reported New Jersey added several states to its travel advisory which now includes California.
Now its neighboring state, New York, has also put travelers under a new advisement. Upon returning from any states that have experienced a large spike in cases recently, residents or visitors will need to self-quarantine for two weeks — including California as well.
Disney World’s phased reopening of its theme parks is just under two weeks away and continues to move forward, but Disneyland has postponed its July 17th grand reopening while it awaits guidelines from state officials.
And while Disney hasn’t and won’t be generating anywhere close to the pre-closure levels of revenue in the Parks, Experience, and Products sector for a while, CEO Bob Chapek noted that the company would not reopen any park unless it would ultimately generate profit.
A few days ago, Disneyland started recalling its Cast Members. In the days since then, the reopening of Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and the Disneyland hotels have been postponed.
But many workers who have been furloughed since mid-April are concerned about returning to parks while cases in California are on the rise.

We’ve been wondering a lot about how the historic closures of the Disney parks might affect the progress of Disney’s upcoming attractions.
Well, Disney just gave us a little bit of an update. With the recent announcement of a full re-theme of Splash Mountain in Disney World and Disneyland, Disney provided a little insight into how this project and the closures have affected projects such as Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure and TRON: Lightcycle Run in Magic Kingdom.
Disneyland is taking another step towards reopening!
Disneyland Resort is scheduled to begin a phased reopening starting with Downtown Disney on July 9. Both Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure are set to follow, reopening on July 17th.
While Disneyland has already extended the expiration dates for its park tickets, we’ve been waiting to hear about other types of tickets including Military Salute Tickets.
So far, there hasn’t been any word on whether or not these tickets would be extended. But today, Disneyland has updated its website and provided new details on when 2020 Military Salute Tickets are set to expire.
