Ready your webs, because we just got a new look at a Spider-Man attraction coming to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
At Disneyland Resort in California, two new attractions are coming to Avengers Campus, and a Spider-Man roller coaster is coming to Shanghai Disneyland. Hong Kong Disneyland is getting its time to shine with its own Marvel attraction.
This ride will go to the Marvel area at Hong Kong Disneyland, which was created by Tony Stark as a new headquarters for Stark Industries. It’s home to the Stark Expo, showcasing all the newest technology, and this Spider-Man ride is for Peter Parker to show off his latest piece of tech. While Peter Parker is working on it, Doctor Octopus comes in to create some chaos, and Spider-Man will need your help to stop him.
The exterior of the building looks like it’s straight out of Marvel Studios. It looks similar to Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure, where there are characters walking around and interacting with guests.
Looking closer at the ride, it seems like other heroes will be there to help Spider-Man save the day. We can see Doctor Strange, Black Panther, and Thor. If you look behind the characters, we can see Asgard, which is where Thor and Loki are from. This ride resembles a drop attraction, such as Tower of Terror or Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout, but with all of the scenes around the guests, it could be similar to Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry at Epic Universe at Universal Orlando.
Over at Shanghai Disney Resort, there will be another ride dedicated to Spider-Man. This high-speed coaster will take you on a fully immersive experience. Guests will have to help Spider-Man after he got “himself in a bit of a tight spot.”
This project also does not currently have an announced timeline, but we can only imagine how incredible this attraction will be once it’s built.
Is it too early to book tickets for Hong Kong? We don’t have an opening date yet, but make sure you keep checking back with Disney Food Blog for more details.
