In December 2023, the park opened its new Zootopia-themed land, which has been a huge hit. Now, the park is working on its third expansion since opening in 2016, and they have just broken ground on the new Spider-Man land!
A beloved celebrity was recently spotted roaming the streets of Zootopia Land, at Shanghai Disney Resort!

We’ve been at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event all weekend, which means we’ve seen some HUGE announcements revealed about new attractions and experiences coming to Disney Parks all over the world, new expansions for parks, new cruise ships, and more. We’ve learned that Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure is about to double in size with two MORE attractions, but that’s not the only Marvel parks news we have. We also learned about a brand-new Spider-Man ride!

Disney has several international destinations including theme parks and cruise ports. Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disney, Shanghai Disneyland, and Hong Kong Disneyland are all international theme parks you can visit, while you can cruise to The Bahamas at Castaway Cay or Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. But before you head to any of these international destinations, it’s important to do your research! We took a look at the latest travel advisories for each of the international Disney destinations, and we noted a few increased levels that we’re sharing with you.

The park opened a new Zootopia-themed land in 2023, and another new theme park expansion may be in the works! Although not much information has been released about that teased expansion, new updates show that it might actually be coming to fruition at Shanghai Disneyland. Shanghai Disney Resort recently shared construction designs for the preliminary planning stages of a new theme park area, and the designs look promising.
It’s a very busy season for the international Disney parks!

Last year, Hong Kong Disneyland got a brand-new Frozen-themed land, and in June 2024, Tokyo DisneySea is getting the highly-anticipated Fantasy Springs expansion. Shanghai Disney Resort got a new Zootopia land in 2023 as well, but now, the resort is getting even more additions!
We could go on for days about our love for Disney merch and souvenirs — specifically popcorn buckets.

Disney’s newest land has officially opened!

Shanghai Disney Resort opened the new Zootopia land to guests on December 20th, 2023, and we’re having serious FOMO about it all! There’s a new attraction called Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, which features a trackless ride system and some interesting Imagineering technology. There are some wild new treats, a “one-of-a-kind atmosphere show,” a merchandise location, and more. But, the coolest thing about Disney’s New Zootopia land might be…the bathrooms?
