Here at DFB, we know a thing or two about Disney World. And, I personally happen to know a thing or two about drinking at EPCOT. In fact, it’s one of my favorite things to do.
EPCOT
Some might consider me the resident expert on imbibing here at DFB (okay, or maybe I’m just the loudest about it), which is why I feel particularly qualified to tell you about the latest problem plaguing EPCOT — barflies. One World Showcase pavilion tends to attract them more than most, and we need to talk about it.
Disney versus Universal — it’s been a hot debate for years and continues to be a hot debate today, especially with Epic Universe joining the lineup.
Universal Studios
Despite the projected earnings for Epic Universe in its first year being over one billion dollars, the rest of Universal’s theme park revenue doesn’t seem to be doing so hot. NBCUniversal recently held its first-quarter earnings call, and revenue for the parks was down.
Meeting characters around the Disney parks and resorts is one of the BEST parts of the trip!

And, you can even find some pretty rare characters hiding around, too — if you know where to look. A recent holiday brought some rare characters out from the woodwork at Disneyland, and we were lucky enough to meet one of the rarest of them all!

We’re less than one month away from the start of Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration!

This exciting event kicks off on May 16th, 2025, and runs throughout the summer. As part of the festivities, there will be new ride additions, brand-new attractions, the return of fan-favorite parades, and so much more. The actual anniversary falls on July 17th, but if you’re a Magic Key Passholder wanting to celebrate in the parks that day — you might be out of luck.
We could spend hours upon hours at Universal Orlando Resort’s brand-new theme park, Epic Universe (and in fact, we have)! But, it’s not just the theme park we’re busy exploring, because three brand-new hotels have opened their doors along with the new park.

It’s certainly no secret that there’s plenty to see, eat, drink, and do at the brand-new Epic Universe theme park at Universal Orlando Resort.
Burning Blade Tavern
We’ve made our way around the five themed lands, and Dark Universe might just be our favorite of them all. Here, visitors will “encounter everything from the experiments of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein to the shadowy landscape where monsters roam in a world of myth and mystery.” And that includes checking out the Burning Blade Tavern!
When you’re ballin’ on a budget, it can be difficult to find cheap, FILLING meals around Disney World.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Sometimes, you have to get creative. Just because something isn’t listed as such doesn’t mean you can’t have it as a meal around the parks — including snacks, sides, and kids meals too. Animal Kingdom is full of hidden gems that are perfect for a quick, cheap meal and we’re heading to one of our favorite spots to check one out!
