Over the last several years, popcorn buckets have become one of the in-demand Disney souvenirs, with buckets of all shapes and sizes available at the company’s theme parks, and special limited event items selling out quickly. The trend has also spread beyond the company’s resorts, with theater chains offering new collectible buckets for seemingly every major release — Disney and otherwise!

Over the last several years, popcorn buckets have become one of Disney’s biggest souvenir categories, with buckets themed to specific characters, lands, and seasonal events. Buckets have resulted in hours-long lines as people rush to get the newest one available (remember the infamous Figment popcorn bucket fiasco of 2022?). Now, a new bucket based on one of Disney’s oldest characters has debuted at Disney Springs!

Whether or not you grab whatever regular refillable bucket is available at the time OR you just can’t stop yourself from grabbing those adorable specialty popcorn buckets, these are great souvenirs that you can use again and again. They make for great park accessories, score you discounted popcorn refills for the length of your trip, and they even make great shelf decor or popcorn buckets at home. For this monumental occasion, Disney World is going all out. We’ve been seeing all kinds of merch, treats, and costumes pop up around the parks all year — but today (September 22nd), things are really kicking off in EPCOT. New Outdoor Kitchens debut for the International Food and Wine Festival, Soarin’ Over California is temporarily replacing Soarin’ Around the World, a shiny new Mickey statue has arrived, and more! But one of the most anticipated releases of the day is a new popcorn bucket! We stopped by to pick one up — come check it out!

We’ve seen some REALLY cool ones, too. Yes, that includes the Figment Popcorn Bucket that everyone lost their minds over. And that EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Popcorn Bucket that looked like a picnic basket. Then there was the Cinderella Carriage Popcorn Bucket that was released for Disney’s 100th Anniversary. Here’s the thing. Many of the popcorn buckets are very cool, but they’re not very functional — that won’t stop us from buying them, though!
Every year, we see the Disney World merch team round up the usual suspects for Halloween: new Loungefly bags, Crocs, Starbucks Tumblers, and pins. Lots and lots of pins. Don’t get us wrong — we love all those spooky Loungefly bags, but this year something new caught our eye.

When we discovered Disney’s NEW Halloween popcorn bucket, we immediately fell in love. It even reminds us of the SUPER popular Light-Up Mickey Pumpkins that sold out in 5 minutes flat on shopDisney recently. (Those pumpkins may return online soon, though!) So naturally, after discovering this new popcorn bucket, we HAD to show it off. But there’s one small problem; we may need to book a flight just to get ahold of this new souvenir.

Sure, you can grab other popcorn buckets in the theme parks — including ones themed to the 100th Anniversary or fan-favorite events. But, movie theaters have been releasing some pretty epic popcorn buckets of their own and now there’s one you HAVE to see.
Popcorn bucket collectors, you REALLY need to hide your wallets, because you won’t be able to resist the newest addition.
