We have some exciting news from Tokyo Disney Resort!
The reopening of Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea isn’t the only big news coming out of Tokyo Disney Resort this month!
Disney’s international parks outside of the U.S. are known for incredible creativity. They are all beautiful and unique in their own way, with Disneyland Paris’ stunning castle (with a full-sized dragon hiding underneath!) as well as Shanghai’s MASSIVE castle!
And if there’s something ALL of the Disney Parks are known for, it’s their SNACKS. Some of the CUTEST Disney park snacks can be found outside of the U.S.A.. Let’s take a virtual trip around the world to see a whopping 23 international Disney snacks we wish we had back home in the states!
Shanghai Disneyland was the first Disney park to reopen on May 11th followed by Hong Kong Disneyland on June 18th.
And today, Disney’s third international theme park reopened since closing down in February. Let’s see how the first day of Tokyo Disney Resort’s phased reopening went!
A reopening date has been announced for Tokyo Disney Resort! Both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will begin a phased reopening on July 1st.
The announcement for the reopening of Tokyo Disneyland followed the news that Disneyland Paris will welcome guests once again starting July 15th. And, as is the case with Disneyland Paris, we also have information about health protocols that will be implemented when Tokyo Disney Resort reopens in order to promote the safety of guests and cast members. But now, Tokyo Disneyland just announced they plan to start a phased reopening.
The website for Tokyo Disney Resort has been updated to notify guests that Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will continue to remain temporarily closed.

Just yesterday, it was announced that the Japanese government would be lifting the state of emergency for Tokyo.
In response, it appears that some businesses and destinations are already beginning to reopen. Ikspiari, the shopping and dining district at Tokyo Disney Resort, just announced that it will be reopening on June 1st.
Though a few of the Disney resorts around the world remain closed right now, most are OPEN!
Around the globe, Disney has gotten pretty far in the reopening process. Let’s take a look at each of the resorts and see exactly what is open and available for guests.
Tokyo Disneyland has announced another extension to its temporary closure as a measure to continue to promote safety in light of the current global situation.
Originally, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea began a temporary closure at the end of February, which was scheduled to last through March 15th. You may recall that an extension to the original closure was announced on March 11th, set to last through early April. And now, Tokyo Disneyland has announced an another extension for the closure. While Disneyland and Disney World are hopefully reopening at the beginning of April (but it could be longer), we’ve been using our time outside of the parks to reminisce about the memories we’ve made in Disney. And, with all the exciting new changes coming soon, we can’t help but think about the Disney Parks and attractions of the past!
