The international Disney Parks have some truly unique attractions!

Aquatopia

One of the most interesting parks to visit is Tokyo DisneySea, which has some incredibly creative and original attractions and lands. One of those rides is located in Port Discovery, and we just learned that it will be closing permanently.

Tokyo Disney Resort has announced that Aquatopia will be closing permanently on September 14th, 2026. This ride has passengers boarding three-seater vehicles that spin and twirl on a water course, and Disney describes it as “an attraction where guests can enjoy the unpredictable movements of an automated water vehicle.”

Before its closure, the ride is getting a summer overlay. The regular version of the ride will be open for the last time from April 22nd-June 30th. After that, it will become the Aquatopia “Get Soaked” Version for the remainder of its tenure. This is part of the Summer Cool-off at Tokyo Disney Resort, where many rides have “Get Soaked” versions to help guests cool off during the hottest part of the year.

So, for those who love this attraction, you only have a few more weeks to enjoy its regular version, and a few more months to ride it at all. The ride is currently closed temporarily and will reopen on April 22nd for that last classic run.

Of course, there are lots of other unique attractions to enjoy in Tokyo DisneySea. The park is themed to myths and legends of the sea, and is made of 8 “ports of call.” Here, you’ll find attractions themed to popular Disney IPs like The Little Mermaid, Frozen, Peter Pan, Tangled, Aladdin, Indiana Jones, and more. But the park is also home to many original attractions.
