Vehicle For Disney’s NEW Spider-Man RIDE Revealed!

If you love Marvel AND Disney Parks, it’s a good time to be a fan of both.

We’ve been at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event all weekend, which means we’ve seen some HUGE announcements revealed about new attractions and experiences coming to Disney Parks all over the world, new expansions for parks, new cruise ships, and more. We’ve learned that Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure is about to double in size with two MORE attractions, but that’s not the only Marvel parks news we have. We also learned about a brand-new Spider-Man ride!

The very first Marvel ride EVER is coming to Shanghai Disneyland, and it’s going to be a Spider-Man roller coaster! The new ride will be “a high-energy thrill coaster” with a Spider-Man theme and will include a “high-speed, fully immersive experience.” Seriously, Disney, you had us at “Spider-Man roller coaster. Disney also revealed some concept art of what the ride will look like.

The announcement was made at Disney’s recent Parks and Experiences panel, “Horizons,” at D23 where Disney revealed a TON of news about upcoming rides, lands, and more coming to Disney parks and Disney Cruise Line. The coaster will start with a story where Spider-Man “has gotten himself in a bit of a tight spot,” so you’ll have to follow him around at high speeds to help get him out of trouble. FUN.

The initial construction preparation work for the new ride is already underway, so this is another project Disney is actively working on RIGHT NOW. Other projects happening at Shanghai Disney Resort include a third hotel located next to the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel. Last year, a new Zootopia-themed land opened at Shanghai Disneyland, featuring a new attraction, an atmosphere show, and new shopping and dining.

Exciting times, right? So much new stuff coming to parks around the world.
