Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment
While Universal Orlando hasn’t announced anything officially coming to the parks, the permits and construction sites don’t lie. Thanks to our friend at Bioreconstruct, we got a new look at what’s happening at some nearby construction sites for Epic Universe, and it’s starting to look like… something!
Well, we won’t be sailing down the river with dinosaurs at Universal Orlando anytime soon; that’s for sure.
Jurassic Park River Adventure
Jurassic Park River Adventure is located at Islands of Adventure, and the ride has been closed for refurbishment since January 5th of this year. Yes, that means we’ve been without it for almost the ENTIRE year, and we’ve been really looking forward to getting it back in November. Well, now we’re all feeling a bit disappointed, because as it turns out, the closure has been extended.
We finally got an update on Universal Orlando’s Horror Make-Up Show, and it’s a big one!

Universal Horror Make-Up Show at Universal Studios Florida closed earlier this year on May 12th. The closure was for a refurbishment to completely reimagine the classic attraction to have a mix of classic and modern horror properties. After a long wait, Universal has given us an update, and while we’re still waiting on some details, this new attraction title says a lot.

Epic Universe’s very first after-hours event, called Universal Nights at Epic Universe, has finally arrived, and we wasted no time to go and check it out for ourselves. Universal Nights at Epic Universe is a hard-ticketed event takes place on October 3rd, 17th, and 24th, as well as November 6th and 20th. The event has a lot to offer, but now that we’ve had the chance to check it out, we can finally answer the question everyone’s been asking since it was announced. Is Universal Nights at Epic Universe worth it?

During Universal Nights at Epic Universe, which happens after Epic Universe closes for the day, you’ll get to take advantage of free snacks and beverages, free refills at Coke Freestyle machines, character interactions, and fewer crowds. This also means you have access to rides with shorter lines during that time, so we decided to see how many rides we could knock out in the park during the event.
Believe it or not, we’re just a few months away from Epic Universe’s third calendar year of operation! Since its official public opening back in May of 2025, Universal’s latest theme park has seen its operations streamlined, which has led many potential guests to wonder if they still need to worry about major crowds at the park.
