Universal Orlando reopened a little over a week ago to greet all sorts of guests, show off its new Virtual Queue system, and introduce U-Rest locations (even if there were some bumps in the road throughout the day).
Prior to reopening to the general public, Universal Orlando offered Annual Passholder previews. And now, Universal is doing something else for APs eager to hang out at the parks again.
Universal Orlando is now OPEN for a special Annual Passholder preview, (and we’re ready to drink all the Butterbeer we can get our hands on)!
While we’ve been taking you to some of Universal’s newly reopened hotels, as well as showing you how the new virtual lines works, we’ve received a lot of questions from you guys about what it’s like to wear face coverings while riding attractions!
Universal Orlando will officially be opening to the public on June 5th. Buuut, if you’re an Annual Passholder, you’ll get to go back home to Hogwarts early!
After Universal Orlando announced its extensive health and safety protocols, it also stated that they would be opening the parks to team members and Annual Passholders prior to June 5th.
Last summer, it was announced that Universal Orlando Resort would be opening a brand new theme park: Universal’s Epic Universe.
Epic Universe will ultimately join Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure and the Volcano Bay water park when it makes its debut at the Resort. However, it has been announced that the construction of the new theme park has met with delays in light of the current global health situation which has led to the temporary closure of Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Hollywood as well as Walt Disney World and other Disney destinations. The last few weeks have brought about tremendous change to the theme park industry in Orlando. Universal Studios in Orlando and Hollywood, in addition to Disney World, temporarily closed their gates with the safety of their employees and guests in mind.
Universal Orlando Resort has recently taken further steps to extend this temporary closure out of an abundance of caution.

The Universal Orlando theme parks have announced the Universal Dining Plan giving guests the option to book their meals and snacks when booking a Universal vacation.
Each day the Universal Dining Plan enables guests to enjoy:
- One table service meal (entrée, dining plan dessert, and non-alcoholic beverage)
- One counter service meal (entrée and non-alcoholic beverage)
- One snack (such as a hot dog, ice cream, or frozen beverage from food carts or counter service locations)
