There are NEW attractions coming to Magic Kingdom!

If you recall, Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat closed in 2025 to make way for a new Cars-themed area in Frontierland. This addition is called Piston Peak, and it will include two new attractions. We’ve been keeping a close eye on construction to see the progress, and today we have a fun update!
Say it ain’t so! As construction continues around Disney World, you’ll need to learn new walking paths, remember which rides are closed, and more to navigate your vacation.

In Magic Kingdom, one of our favorite ways to navigate the crowds is officially gone, but not in the way you might think. We’re breaking down what this subtle update to the My Disney Experience app really means.
If you’ve visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios recently, you’ve probably noticed quite a bit of construction happening in the park. First, Animation Courtyard is being reimagined into The Walt Disney Studios, although part of that project has already opened to the public. Then, the old Muppets Courtyard is being reimagined into Monstropolis, a Monsters, Inc.-themed land.

Well, if you’ve been getting excited about Monstropolis, it’s time to get even more excited. We’ve got a construction update from the construction site itself!
Disney World is in the midst of a lot of construction right now. In Magic Kingdom, Frontierland is getting a Cars expansion, while a new Villains land is being added behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a Monsters, Inc. land is being constructed. A Tropical Americas-themed land is being created in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

In EPCOT, the construction is a little more subtle, but it’s still happening. Most recently, we discovered that a store in EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion and the pavilion’s guest restrooms are closed for refurbishment.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Earlier in 2026, DinoLand, U.S.A. closed completely to make way for the Tropical Americas land coming to the park. This new land will feature attractions inspired by Indiana Jones and Encanto, along with new shopping and dining. We can’t wait to check it out when it opens in 2027, but for now, we’ve got a big construction update!
If you’ve visited Universal Islands of Adventure at Universal Orlando, you’ve probably experienced the thrilling — and WET — ride known as Jurassic Park River Adventure, a water-based flume ride that takes you through Jurassic Park where you come face to face with dinosaurs…and an 85-foot plunge into the water.

Well, that ride closed in January for a massive refurbishment, and we’ve been keeping up with construction progress ever since. Now, we’ve got some new progress to share with you, thanks to some new aerial photographs.
So many new lands are currently in progress in Disney World, with one of the biggest being Monstropolis in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The land is taking over the former Muppets Courtyard, and we’ve been following along closely with construction since the beginning to see how it’s all been coming along. The new coaster coming to the land is to be Disney’s first-ever suspended coaster, and based on what we’ve seen so far, it’s going to be BIG, and that’s only being confirmed by these new photos we just got of its status.
It’s been almost a year since we said goodbye to Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island in Magic Kingdom, and since then, we’ve been following the construction happening in that space that will result in a brand new Cars-themed expansion called Piston Peak.

Now, we don’t have any idea of when Piston Peak might be opening in Disney World, but we’ve been following its construction progress, and will continue to follow it from start to finish. Well, we have a brand NEW update to share with you about this expansion, thanks to some new aerial photos by @bioreconstruct. So let’s take a look at what these new photos show us.
BIG news out of Disney Springs!
The walls are down at Level99!
We’ve been counting down the days until Level99 opens in the shopping and dining district on June 29th, with tickets going on sale June 22nd, but honestly, we’d be lying if we said we hadn’t been a little concerned seeing the walls still up. That all just changed, though, because the walls are DOWN!
We love going to Epic Universe for an epic park day. Where else can you ride dragons, battle wizards, face monsters, and race in Mario Kart all in one day?

Well, we have some massive Epic Universe news – the park is about to get even bigger. Universal just filed a brand-new permit for a 71,500-square-foot structure at Epic Universe!
