We’ll have to admit that Galactic Starcruiser was a pretty interesting experiment on Disney’s part to create an immersive Star Wars environment where guests could roleplay out their Star Wars dreams. However, the hotel was pricey, and at the end of the day, Disney admitted that “it didn’t perform” and subsequently closed it just a little over a year after it opened.

However, Disney didn’t want the building go to waste, so it decided to use what had already been built to create new office space for Walt Disney Imagineering. We’ve previously seen signs of construction at the closed hotel’s site, and we’ve seen permits filed for work in the area. Well, now Disney has filed a new permit for the location.
