The $5,195 Question: What’s Inside Disney World’s Priciest New Hotel Room?

A brand-new hotel is on the way to Disney World next year, and it’s bringing a massively expensive — we’re talking over $5,000 — room type with it!

On July 1st, Disney will open the new Lakeshore Lodge on the former site of the River Country water park. The hotel’s design is going to be “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists,” with elements of numerous films, including Pocahontas, Brother Bear, Encanto, Fantasia, and Bambi. The lodge is set to be home to a massive waterplay/pool complex known as the Wetlands, a cadre of new dining options, and 967 guest rooms, including several Lake Houses. But some of these rooms can get QUITE expensive… Here’s what a $5,195 room at Lakeshore Lodge will get you.

The Weird Reason I Get Up Extra Early at My Disney World Hotel

Most people on their Disney World vacations get up to rope drop the parks, head to a popular breakfast dining experience, or head straight to their resort’s coffee shop. Me? I get up early for an entirely different reason.

But there’s one perk that’s EXCLUSIVELY available for guests staying at some of the cheapest resorts on property!

Typically, the Deluxe Resorts will be home to more perks, including Extended Evening Hours, but not this perk — this one’s for the cheapest resorts. This perk actually begins before your vacation officially starts: at the airport. And it can take A LOT of stress and weight off your plate.

Bookings Are Officially Open for Disney World’s Newest Hotel

It’s not every day we get to say this, but a new Disney World hotel opens next year, and you can start booking now! I know, I know, we’re just as excited as you are to go down the otter-themed slide and spend some time in the lazy river. We may also be oogling over the newest restaurants we get to try.

Lakeshore Lodge is opening at Disney World on July 1st, 2027, and while that seems already so far away, if you want to be some of the first guests to stay at the hotel (which is a pretty cool bragging right), you’ll want to hop on your laptops or mark your calendar because your time is coming soon.

We’ve all been there: You just landed at the Orlando Airport, ready to start your Disney World vacation, when it hits you — your five suitcases full of park outfits and essentials don’t all fit in the Uber!
