On July 1st, Disney will open the new Lakeshore Lodge on the former site of the River Country water park. The hotel’s design is going to be “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists,” with elements of numerous films, including Pocahontas, Brother Bear, Encanto, Fantasia, and Bambi. The lodge is set to be home to a massive waterplay/pool complex known as the Wetlands, a cadre of new dining options, and 967 guest rooms, including several Lake Houses.
