Believe it or not, there was a time when Disney World had an “off season” — when things at the resort were actually somewhat slower. (I’m old enough to have experienced it, which is probably a sign that I should look into why my back and knees crack, but I digress…)
Ugh — another line!
While that’s no longer the case, there are times when Disney World is busier than others. If your goal is to avoid crowds in 2027, you may want to sidestep these 8 weeks.
Most people on their Disney World vacations get up to rope drop the parks, head to a popular breakfast dining experience, or head straight to their resort’s coffee shop. Me? I get up early for an entirely different reason.

There are PLENTY of reasons why someone would get up early at their Disney resort, but my reason is way more unique than others, and I recommend that everyone tries this at least once in their life because it’s just so…peaceful.
YIKES! The crowds have shown up again in ONE Disney World park, and for the second weekend in a row, they’re intense.

We hoped that the crazy EPCOT crowds we saw last weekend were a fluke, but after visiting the park yesterday, we are worried we might have just found a new pattern.

Another Disney World holiday weekend has arrived, and you know what that means…CROWDS!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Everyone loves going to Disney when they have school and work off. The only problem is, everyone has school and work off. We’re currently in the middle of Labor Day weekend and had to make a trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see what the crowds were looking like. You’re going to be as surprised as we were!
We spend a LOT of time comparing Disney World parks. Magic Kingdom has the classics. Animal Kingdom has the atmosphere. Hollywood Studios has some of the biggest rides. And EPCOT has enough snacks to turn “walking around the park” into an all-day competitive sport.
EPCOT After Hours
But after attending Disney After Hours at both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, we noticed one thing EPCOT is doing WAY better. It knows how to feel empty.
It’s officially summer in Disney World, which means it’s HOT! We love heading to one of Disney World’s water parks to cool down, whether it’s Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon, but we weren’t expecting THIS when we went in!

It turns out we weren’t the only ones wanting to beat the heat at Typhoon Lagoon yesterday. Because the crowds showed up!
It’s time to play the music, and it’s time to light the lights, because Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets has officially opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

The highly anticipated retheme of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has finally arrived, and fans were flooding the park to check out the new ride. No, seriously, they were FLOODING Hollywood Studios. Wait until you see how crazy the crowds were during the attraction’s opening day.
Summer in Disney World is always full of lots and lots of people and crowds; however, one weekend is known for its crazy crowds and intense wait times: The Fourth of July.
