One of the most magical times on your Disney World vacation is watching one of the incredible nighttime spectaculars like Happily Ever After in Magic Kingdom, Fantasmic! in Hollywood Studios, or Luminous — The Symphony of Us at EPCOT. But sometimes that can take a turn!

The nighttime shows can get cancelled, and it happens more than you might think. One of the most common reasons a show might be canceled is the weather. When it’s too windy or lightning is too close to the area, the show will be canceled for the safety of the guests and performers. But there’s another way that a Disney World show can be cancelled, and we bet you didn’t even know it was possible.
Is there a better ending to your Disney World day than watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks? I don’t think so!

On August 7th, the Walt Disney Company an earnings report revealed lower demand for the company’s domestic theme parks, including Disney World. Calling it “flat” theme park attendance, Disney Chief Financial Officer Hugh Johnston suggested that the theme park business is in a healthy spot, but slowing down at a tolerable rate. With massive expansions involving several beloved IPs on the horizon, this bump in the road is not expected to be permanent, so for those looking to take advantage of lower Disney World attendance, now’s the time.

We may still be feeling the raw emotions that come with bidding farewell to a classic attraction in Magic Kingdom, but Disney has announced even more changes will be coming to entertainment across the park. Just recently, we saw changes to the parade and cavalcade schedules. We got to check out Luminous: The Symphony of Us for ourselves the night it premiered, and while we loved the impressive pyrotechnics and the symphonic soundtrack, not everyone seems to have the same opinion. We’ve heard folks saying they hate the new EPCOT fireworks show — and here’s why.
