Labor Day Weekend has officially arrived in Disney World, and these holiday weekends are usually full of lots of high wait times and crowds.

We’ve been watching wait times over the past two days to see just what crowds are really looking like, but to our surprise, the actual crowds inside EPCOT were very different than what we expected. We were expecting to see crowds wall to wall, but instead…we’ve been left wondering WHERE everyone is?
Labor Day weekend is going to be VERY busy in Disney World, and NOT just because it’s Labor Day weekend.

The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival kicks off on August 29th, so we expect to see some pretty huge Labor Day crowds hitting up the festival during that weekend. However, ANOTHER festival of sorts will also be happening in Disney World…except this one doesn’t require a park ticket. It’s the Great Irish Hooley, and it’s returning this year to Raglan Road in Disney Springs.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a beautiful park with so many hidden gems.

We were a bit surprised yesterday to see that the 3-day weekend crowds were missing. Following a chaotic and busy summer, we would’ve expected an equally-crowded holiday weekend. So, of course, we were pleased to be met with light crowds. But with Labor Day taking place tomorrow, as well as a sold-out Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, there’s got to be more people in the resort today — right?!
We keep telling ya, Disney Springs is the place to be.

Yeah, yeah — the parks are filled with rides, festivals, and parties. But Disney Springs holds its own unique offerings. You can grab some wild Ice Cream flavors, partake in a cocktail experience that changes weekly, or attend a Tequila tasting. Or at least that’s what we thought. This year seems to be an exception to the rule: even the 4th of July weekend crowds were surprisingly lighter than what we expected. We have seen summer crowds in full force in Disney World, but things have been quiet recently, and, well, things are still pretty slow today. Let’s take a look!
