If you are visiting Disneyland Resort with a vegetarian in your group, or if you’d simply like to enjoy “Meatless Mondays” Disney-style during your vacation, you can easily enjoy LOTS of flavorful cuisine around the Resort!
Vegetarians often find dining in Disneyland Resort to be relatively easy and plentiful, and with the addition of easily designated plant-based menu items, it is now more straightforward for vegans to dine around Disneyland, too. For starters, in October 2019, Disney announced that every major table and counter service restaurant in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort would offer plant-based options!
As a general rule, if you don’t see an option that sounds palatable to you on a restaurant’s menu, ask your server or the counter service cast member for assistance. Often, they’ll readily give you a list of items that aren’t noted on the menu and/or help you customize your meal appropriately.
But there are additional ways to find vegetarian and vegan options, even in advance of your trip, if you like! Specifically, Disney shares that plant-based items are made “without animal meat, dairy, eggs or honey.”
Disneyland Resort Table Service Restaurants
If you are interested in making an Advance Dining Reservation for a Table Service (or sit-down) restaurant around Disneyland Resort, you can explore menus on the Disneyland website or Disneyland app ahead of your visit.
Simply visit the webpage or search for the the restaurant of interest in the Disneyland app and click “View Menu.” You can certainly scan the entire menu; however, you can also look for the “Plant-based” heading.
Our example above is from the menu for Cafe Orleans in Disneyland. The Plant-based options include an appetizer, entree, and dessert.
If you do not peruse menus ahead of time, don’t worry! You can either speak with your server at the restaurant or “Look for the Leaf” on the printed menu.
Plant-based items are designated with a green leaf icon, as seen next to three items on the River Belle Terrace menu above.
Disneyland Resort Quick Service Restaurants
You can use the same steps above to explore options at Quick Service eateries in Disneyland Resort, too, as seen here with a screenshot for the Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill menu.
But there is an additional option for the many locations that accept Mobile Order.
You can filter your search in the menu by selecting the “Plant-Based” icon within the menu categories presented at the top of the restaurant’s app screen.
And the same green leaf icon that designates plant-based items at Table Service restaurants can also be found on posted menus at Quick Service locations such as Cafe Daisy as seen below.
