Fans of Chef Mickey’s — get ready for a whole new meal option!
The SUPER popular (and we are not even exaggerating a little there) character dining experience at Disney World’s Contemporary Resort has always offered breakfast and dinner. But now, it’s expanding to offer brunch daily!
Get ready to dial — Advance Dining Reservations will open on Friday, May 22. Seating for brunch at Chef Mickey’s will begin on Sunday, May 31.
But I think the really cool thing here is that this is brunch, rather than lunch. Fans of Chef Mickey’s breakfast spread can continue to dine on all of their favorites, like Mickey Waffles!
But the menu will also include lunch goodies such as soups and lots of salad options. In addition, look for Seafood Étouffée, Barbecued Ribs, and Baked Salmon. The sweets team will also feature familiar bakery items and the famous Ice Cream Bar.
Chef Mickey’s can be a really hard ADR to get, so this expanded capacity at one of the ‘World’s most popular dining destinations is definitely big news. And this could be a really awesome option for guest who value a midday break from the hustle, bustle, and heat of the Parks.
Note that Check Mickey’s has served lunch in the past, and will usually open up reservations during busy Spring Break and Summer periods; so we’re not 100% sure this will continue long-term. But if you have a trip coming up, be sure to grab your reservations ASAP!

We are DL locals and we visit WDW frequently. We’ve dined at Goofy’s Kitchen (DL) and Chef Mickey’s (WDW). In our opinion, Goofy’s Kitchen is FAR superior to Chef Mickey’s. The food selection is equivalent, however, Goofy has many more desserts to choose from than Mickey. At Mickey’s, it seems there are maybe 5 different bland tart type desserts, and the soft serve machine was the main attraction. Goofy has more than 15 different selections, and they are outstanding! Mini molten chocolate cakes (they’re on a giant hot plate), cobblers, salted caramel tarts, lemon bars, cookies, jello, worms and dirt…I can’t even name them all. There are so many desserts, the soft serve machine is hardly touched. If you’re at DL…go to Goofy’s Kitchen!!!
I think this is GREAT news, both for clients, and myself! 🙂 Actually, I hope it’s the start of a trend throughout the property. As very frequent visitors, we’re always looking for new things to try, different ways of doing things and fun experiences, and this fits the bill perfectly!
We have a breakfast ADR for July 3, really hoping I can move it to brunch when the ADRs open up.
I am so happy! Of all the times I have been to Disney I have not been able to book Chef Mickeys, so prayerfully we will get a reservation on May 22!
I read this will start at 11:30. So how does it work when I have an 11:20 reservation for breakfast?
What time do you think ADR will open for this? Midnight, or 6:00am?
I was so happy to see this! I personally consider breakfast a waste of valuable early morning park time, so I often eat it on the go; dinner is usually a relaxing signature meal. So Chef Mickey’s rarely falls within our plans. However, this will be perfect on a party day! I think I’ll get a later brunch reservation and then head over to MK for MNSSHP !
We were able to get a brunch reservation for our November trip. We also had a breakfast reservation but I decided that brunch would be a better option. Looking forward to our first Chef Mickey’s experience.
I just snagged an ADR for Oct 16th on our check out day. Didn’t think Chef Mickey’s was going to happen for us this trip. Thanks so much for the info. Keep up the good work!
Any brunch reviews yet? And can you really get the mickey bars!? 🙂
Will Chef Mickey’s brunch still be home to the fab 5 at the meal? We booked a 7:20am breakfast, but brunch would be so much easier to make! We have to see minnie mouse though!
