Please Note: Writer’s Stop closed in September 2016. The spot that was formerly Writer’s Stop is now home to BaseLine Tap House. And guests can still find the signature snack from Writer’s Stop — the Carrot Cake Cookie — at The Trolley Car Cafe.
Feel transformed as you leave the whirling crowds of Disney’s Hollywood Studios and step into the comforts of a charming book shop; smell freshly brewed java, page through a good book, and relax while you snack on a scrumptious selection of baked goodies.
The Writer’s Stop is a special place; an immersive shop that makes you feel like you’ve entered a charming city book shop, with a touch of Disney. The shop features a small retail section, kitchen housewares, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, comfortable seating, a vintage style television, a writer’s nook, unique studio light fixtures, and delicious snacks. Barista-style hot drinks like cappuccino, espresso, mochachino, iced coffees, cafe latte, and regular coffee with a variety of flavored syrups are featured along with a bakery case full of appetizing treats.

Important Info:
- This is the perfect place to escape for a rest, the Writer’s Stop is rarely busy. A vintage style television playing Disney cartoons entertains the little ones while you enjoy a java and quiet.
- The Writer’s Stop was originally placed in the old Disney’s MGM Studios under a different name to promote the ABC sitcom “Ellen,” featuring Ellen DeGeneres. It was an homage to the book shop on the show called “Buy the Book.”
