After eating our way around Epcot last week, it was time to re-visit the Magic Kingdom this week to see what’s new!
We found some rarely-seen characters, new sweet treats, some menu changes, and bunch of new merchandise. But first, look at who we met!
What’s New on Magic Kingdom’s Main Street, U.S.A.
As part of the Mickey and Minnie Celebration we’ll be treated to visits from rarely-seen in-the-parks characters. On the day we were there we spotted Remy and Emile from Ratatouille, and we’ve seen Nick and Judy from Zootopia as well as Phineas and Ferb on past visits.
A cast member we spoke with did give a head’s up that the lines are unusually long this time of year for these character Meet and Greets, so if you’re waiting to meet some of these characters bring patience!
If you’re feeling a little more restrained in your Krispie love, there’s some smaller, and equally cute new Mickey and Minnie Krispie treats. You can also pick these cuties up at Big Top Treats in Fantasyland.
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland
In addition to the Mickey and Minnie Celebration Krispie Treats, Big Top Treats is also offering a perfectly-polka-dotted Minnie Celebration Pretzel Rod.
Remember those Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Souvenir Travel Mugs — here’s a reminder of these must-have mugs for your morning coffee! We spotted them at Friar’s Nook this week, and did not see them in Pinocchio’s Village Haus where we’ve usually seen them. If you’re looking for them remember to check both locations!
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland
Peco’s Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe has been busy with some changes to their menu. Pork Carnitas now come with the Fajita Platter, and are newly an option where Spicy Beef was on the menu.
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Shops and Stores — New Merchandise!
We’re pretty excited about Disney’s new D-Lish line featuring classic Disney foods and snacks — and we keep finding more and more merchandise added to this line much to our delight! How about a piece of pizza — we mean a new pair of socks!
There’s also a new line of character socks with packaging that looks like cupcakes.
And not officially part of the D-Lish line, but the feature snacks, is a new line of sweat pants. You can choose from Villain, Snack, Disney Attractions and Parks, or Mickey and Minnie themed sweats.
We’re loving the detail on these Disney Snack sweats with the pin stripe, pocket, and artwork.
The Mickey and Minnie sweats are just as detailed with a fun message on the pocket.
If you’re feeling evil or know “it’s good to be bad” there’s a pair of sweats for you too!
Lastly, the Disney Parks and Attractions sweatpants feature classic rides and attractions all over them. Which pair of sweats will you be adding to your comfy clothes wardrobe?
Should you be going somewhere that is a little more formal than these fun new sweats, there’s a new Rock the Dots dress in Uptown Jewelers that’s perfect for any occasion.
There’s even some bling with sequins on this dress! And of course, it has Minnie’s seal of approval with her autograph on the belt.
Memento Mori — home to all things Haunted Mansion — has a new fascinator/headband.
We did double check this, you can take this fascinator home to wear to your next special occasion for the price of $39.99!
If you love those Opera Singers in the graveyard scene of the Haunted Mansion ride there are some new collectible plush dolls for you!
We think these are too cute with their friendly smiles to be ghostly! What do you think?
You can still pick up the plush set of the Hitchhiking Ghosts that came out last year. You’ll find these three waiting for a ride home behind the cash register.
If you prefer Pirates to Ghosts and Opera Singers, you can wear your pirate allegiance on a new pair of sunglasses with skulls, crossbones, anchors and more on them.
To remember your trip to Disney during Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration you can take home a new Mickey Ear or Minnie Bow Key Chain.
We also spotted Cinderella’s slipper on a key chain!
That’s all that’s new this week! What will you add to your must-eat or must-buy list this week? Let us know in the comments below!
