As you’re heading toward Kilimanjaro Safaris in Animal Kingdom’s Africa, you might walk right by Tamu Tamu without noticing it. But this is a great place to stop for — as the sign says — “Good Eats” and “Cold Drinks.”
Tamu Tamu Refreshments
The menu here is known to change, and currently features an assortment of desserts. It also happens to be one of the few places you can find Dole Whip (Pineapple Soft-Serve) in Animal Kingdom — with or without rum, or served up in a specialty float! It’s a hidden gem right out in the open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The DOLE Whip cravings hit. DOLE Whip comes in many forms at Tamu Tamu. There’s even a sundae!
You need a spot to relax. There is a gorgeous and quiet seating area tucked behind Tamu Tamu that not many people know about.
You want to try boozy DOLE Whip. Alcoholic DOLE Whip treats can be found all over Disney World, but Tamu Tamu pairs the pineapple with coconut rum or sangria. It’s a fun twist if you’ve had DOLE Whip before!
Trek to another snack place if…
You’re not spending a lot of time in Africa. Although it’s our favorite, it’s not the only place to find DOLE Whip in Animal Kingdom. Warung Outpost in Asia also serves it if that’s more convenient for you.
You want to try different DOLE Whip flavors. Pineapple is the flavor here, but many other flavors exist! For example, Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom has coconut and Swirls on the Water in Disney Springs has rotating flavors like lime and strawberry.
You need a savory snack. This place is known for its refreshing sweets, so you won’t find any savory snacks on the menu.
