So, I was in Disney’s Contemporary Resort when I stopped by Bayview Gifts to grab a Contemporary Resort mug (and I maaaaay have grabbed another Peanut Butter Pie next door at Contempo Cafe while I was at it).
I’ve grown rather fond of several of the resort-specific mugs that hit the scene earlier this year, and I’ve slowly been building up a small collection of a few of my favorites. Since the Contemporary’s mug has a Monorail on it, it was a no-brainer addition. Clearly.
But that’s not what this post is about… As you may or may not know (depending on how often you visit the Contemporary), Bayview Gifts has a confection case all its own — not something you really see in other Disney Resort gift shops.
Ooh, and all the artwork behind it is made up of candy!
Anyhoo… as I went up to the register to purchase my mug, I couldn’t resist a peek in the case. I was expecting to see the usuals. (English Toffee, Fudge, Mickey Ear Hat Brownies. Yep, all there.) But as my eyes scanned the bottom row, I spotted a little something special next to the regular Pecan and Cashew Clusters: the Mickey Macadamia Nut Cluster.
Macadamia nuts, caramel, milk chocolate, dark chocolate Mickey. DONE. Beautiful!
Now, Nut Clusters aren’t unusual at all in Disney World confection cases. You’ll spot them everywhere from the Main Street Confectionery to Sweet Spells. Come to think of it, I’ve even spotted the Macadamia version before at Seashore Sweets on the BoardWalk and a few other spots from time to time, so I know this isn’t exactly earth-shattering news ;). Still, far more frequently seen are the usual Pecan and Cashew Clusters which tend to be the standbys throughout the sweet stops. And since I can never get enough macadamia nuts, I’m always happy to see anything made with them.
An Almond Nut Cluster was available as well.
So remember Bayview Gifts at the Contemporary… just one more stop along the Monorail route — along with the Polynesian Village Resort — for my fellow Macadamia Nuts (see what I did there?) to check out 🙂 !
Which of the Mickey Nut Clusters would you put at the top of your list? Please let us know with a comment!
