The 2018 Epcot Food and Wine Festival seminars and demonstrations, book signings, chef meet and greets, and other low-cost or free events always offer terrific opportunities to enhance your festival experience!
Culinary Demos, Beverage Seminars, and Mix It Make It Seminars will again be offered at this year’s festival. NEW for 2018: Food and Beverage Pairing Events will join the low-cost seminar listings.
These events will be held at the Festival Welcome Center in Epcot’s Future World (the old Wonders of Life Pavilion). Look for offerings throughout the duration of the Festival (August 30-November 12, 2018).

Tables in Wonderland members, Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, and Golden Oak Residents may be eligible for a $2 discount (per person, per event) for beverage and mixology seminars and culinary demos taking place Monday through Thursday during the festival. These populations can also book these events (in addition to ALL Special Events) early beginning on June 12, 2018 at 9:00 am (EST). Discounts are by phone only at 407-WDW-FEST (939-3378).
Epcot Food and Wine Festival Culinary Demos and Beverage Seminars
The cost for Culinary Demonstrations and Beverage Seminars is $17 per person. All events take place in the Festival Center.

During each 45-minute demonstration, renowned gourmets will impart years of kitchen wisdom while whipping up a special delicious dish. Attendees can collect tips and tricks to sharpen their skills, and try dishes the chef is making.

Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It! Hands-On Workshops
Roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty! In this hands-on experience, you’ll learn directly from the pros. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about a myriad of culinary subjects — from decorating cakes, garnishing like a boss, and even mixing up an amazing cocktail!

NEW! Character Dance Party
On Friday and Saturday evenings, kids enjoy an interactive atmosphere where they dance and play along with “a rotating menu” of Disney Characters including Remy and Emile from Ratatouille at the Disney Du Jour Dance Party!
Festival Welcome Center Events
Many of these events, including seminars and demonstrations, take place in the Festival Welcome Center in Epcot’s Future World. Some exhibits and events will take place in other parts of the the park.

New! Junior Chef Kitchen presented by Krusteaz®
Children become chefs and get to eat what they make in this family-friendly, complimentary experience every Sunday at the Festival Center. “Junior Chefs” will make, decorate, and sample their own pancake creations using fun recipes. Participants will also receive their very own chef hat, apron and certificate of completion.
Junior Chef Kitchen sessions are held at the Festival Center Spotlight Stage on select Sundays at 11:00 AM:
- September 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30
- October 7, 14, 21 and 28
- November 4, 11
Children wishing to participate in the complimentary Junior Chef Kitchen must register at the Festival Center the day before or the morning of the experience. Guests must be between 4 and 10 years of age to participate. Availability is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Valid theme park admission is required.
NEW! Tailgate Tasting Hosted by Monday Night Football
On select Monday nights, stop by the Festival Center for a Tailgate Tasting event! The event takes place from 4:30 PM to 5:15 PM on these dates:

The Chocolate Experience: From Bean to the Bar
*Included with Epcot admission
When: 9AM – Park Close
This Festival Center exhibit, hosted by Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, has been a staple of the Festival for years, and we expect to see it again this year. This exhibit includes displays outlining the history of chocolate and the chocolate making process as well as chocolate sculptures from Disney pastry chefs.
It’s a fun way to pass the time while you await upcoming events. There are also chocolate items available for purchase, including one of our favorites, Gourmet Drinking Chocolate!
You’ll also find sample chocolates, select a wine and chocolate pairing, and shop for a bag of your favorite Ghirardelli Gourmet Chocolates.
Back to Basics Seminars
Turn ho-hum into YUM YUM! Back to Basics offers epicurean tips and tricks from the pros that may seem simple but can have a profound effect on your next dinner party.

Note: You do NOT have to attend a culinary or beverage seminar or demo to participate in these meet and greet opportunities with chefs and beverage experts. However, you may need to arrive at the Festival Welcome Center early to get a wristband for meet and greets with well-known personalities. On the day of your chosen chef’s demo, be sure to check in at the center to see if you’ll need a wristband.

Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt
We hope everyone’s favorite rat, Chef Remy, will be joining the party with Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt once again in 2018!
Guests can participate in the hunt by purchasing a map and stickers at select Festival Center merch locations, then bring back their completed map for a special surprise! This year’s surprise is one of four fun cups!
Normally, you can pick up a map at the following Epcot locations:

– Disney Traders in World Showcase
– International Gateway in World Showcase
Seasons of the Vine
Watch a 7 minute film where you’ll get a behind-the-vines look at the process that transforms delicate grapes into the “nectar of the gods”—step by nectarous step. The film runs continuously throughout each day of the Festival and is a must-see if you love wine!
Marketplace Discovery Passport
And it wouldn’t be the Epcot Food and Wine Festival without everyone’s favorite free souvenir! You’ll be able to pick up a Festival Marketplace Discovery Passport from the Festival Welcome Center to keep track of your progress Around the World.
This year, the Passports again come with a sheet of stickers for you to apply to each Booth page as you visited the corresponding Marketplace. The stickers replaced the stamps that guests could previously get at each booth.

Eat to the Beat Concert Series and Dining Packages
The Eat to the Beat Concert Series continues to draw big crowds throughout the entire Festival. And in 2018, we look forward to discovering new acts that will debut in the line up! New this year — a brand new option is coming to the American Adventure Pavilion’s Liberty Inn! This Counter Service spot will offer a limited amount of day-of, first-come first serve Eat to the Beat Dining Packages.
Candy Sushi Presented by Skittles
New this year, a Disney Chef will teach guests how to create their very own sweet Candy Sushi! Skittles is partnering with Adventures by Disney to present this session daily at 3:30 and 5:30 pm in Sunshine Seasons in The Land Pavilion.
Space will be limited, so be sure to sign up in advance at TasteEpcot.com once registration is open! The event is free, but your signup will require a credit card guarantee (similar to an Advance Dining Reservation).
