Today is a big day for fans of the Epcot Food and Wine Festival! Booking opened to the general public this morning for the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Special Events, Eat to the Beat Concert Dining Packages, and Seminars and Demonstrations.
However, one returning Festival event is not yet open for booking: the family-friendly Candy Sushi, which will make its return to the Festival since its debut last year. (You can check out our review here.)
In contacting Disney this morning, we were able to learn TWO new pieces of information about booking this event… and it’s good to know in advance, as it filled up fairly rapidly last year.
Booking Date
We were informed that booking for Candy Sushi — which will be offered at 3:30 and 5:30 daily throughout the Festival in The Land pavilion — will open on May 30th at 9:00 AM EST.
Interested guests are currently advised to call (407) WDW-FEST; however, note that last year booking also became available online. As of press time, there is no Candy Sushi page on the Disney World website, so we will be keeping an eye out as more information comes available, and will keep you posted.
Booking Price??
Another possible change that interested guests will want to note: two Cast Members we spoke with mentioned a possible $10 fee (plus tax) per person for Candy Sushi. This is especially worth noting because last year, Candy Sushi was complimentary. Because the official Disney site — at press time — still notes that “Booking information is coming soon,” we are calling the potential fee unconfirmed at this time. However, we still want to give interested guests a heads up that a new fee this year is a possibility.
We will continue to keep you updated as we learn more!

Thank you for this update as I got misinformation from a cast member yesterday when I asked about this event.

I started to book 2 of us for the Candy Sushi but then quickly hit the Cancel button when I saw it was going to cost $21.30. Disney is just nickel and diming like crazy and I will not pay for something that was free just 1 year prior!
